iContact v0.7

iContact is a simple contacts applications for your Windows Mobile device which will help you scroll your contact list in iPhone style by sliding down your finger in the screen! It's really amazing and if you get used to it iContact could be one of your everyday apps.

The app is very basic, it only lists contacts in scrollable list. Use it for accessing your contacts by scrolling the list with fingers, similar to iPhone. Just tap, drag and release.

To select a contact, just tap and release, and standard contact details dialog should appear.

MortScript - v4.11b7

MortScript (formerly MortRun) is a macro type program that performs many commands. You can automate many tasks, such as, disabling your external keyboard and enabling your game pad, and vice-versa. The possibilities are endless. Using a text editor, such as UKNote, scripts must be saved with a *.mscr extension. And the author honestly states, "For beginners, this might be a bit too complicated."

Commands currently include:
* Run, activate, hide, close, and kill programs
* Wait functions
* Send keystrokes
* Send mouse clicks
* File Copy, rename/move, delete, and create shortcuts
* Create and remove directories
* Registry read and write
* Variables and simple expressions
* Subroutines, If conditions, Choice selections, While loops, and Repeat loops
* Some system features

This is a very nice "hacker tool without a nifty interface." Not as complete as nScriptm, but it is much easier to write scripts using MortScript, IMHO.

ClearTemp by Vicott - v1.0.1

ClearTemp is a Pocket PC application to help you clear temporary files on your system easily. You can choose which of the 4 available temporary folders to clean up. You can even change the location of the temporary folders (Cache, History & Cookies) to the Storage Card or Storage ROM. If you have a custom folder which you wish to clear, you can also add it in. The program also allows you to clear your Recent Program List and your Internet Address History.

Clipboard Tools - v1.6

Clipboard Tool is a small utility made to enhance the existing Windows Mobile Clipboard.

This is made by organizing the clipboard as a stack: every time you copy something, this is added to the stack.

Once you want to paste something, just open Clipboard tool and select it from the stack.

Some additional features are added, such as the "Links" view, which allows you to filter out of the stack only the weblinks, and the "Filter" view, which adds Regular Expressions (see here a Tutorial) support, allowing you to make complex searches over your Clipboard Stack.

In addition, you can choose to export the whole content of the clipboard to a Text file.

A little tool, but provides IMHO great features !

MortButtons - v2.5

Those of you who use and abuse their hardware buttons will be pleased to discover this program: it allows you to assign no less than 12 programs to be displayed when you press a hardware button. The programs are assigned during the Setup phase. You have 5 potential buttons to define.
Each hardware button can open a menu of 12 programs. The delay to display this list is adjustable.
In conclusion, a press of a hardware button followed by a click gives access to up to 60 applications which will be quickly accessible.

Note: the "Download" link goes to an English version of the program, even though a German version also exists, the language of the developer and of the site's homepage.

Update : more improvements. Notably a Task list (a little like Alt-Tab but better thanks to the speed of the rocker switch).

I had some issues with user-friendliness of a Windows Mobile SmartPhone. No copy/paste, no clipboard history, no way to choose a default browser. To supplement this I kept increasing the functionality of my personal little script coded in MortScript. JZ SmartMort is an attempt to bridge the gap of missing features like:

    * Clipboard / URL history
    * Multi-browser (Opera Mini, Opera Mobile, NetForce, Skyfire, Internet Explorer)
    * Make any installed browser system-level, where it opens links from anywhere. Ability to have a default browser (with a special timeout in case you want to open a link with a non-default browser).
