Secret Files Tunguska international patch v1.02

Kompanija Deep Silver je izbacila novi patch  za igru Secret Files: Tunguska, pritom podizajući veziju ove semi-3D point-and-click avanture na verziju 1.02. Ovaj patch dodaje par hardverskih osveženja, nove cutscene i još par sitnica. Veličina patcha je 241Mb i njega možete preuzeti sa ove adrese.

First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the unbelievable amount of feedback that we have received through the Forum or via e-mail since the release. With such tremendous support, it makes it easy to work at full speed on the successor to Secret Files: Tunguska. We are taking all of the players' suggestions to heart - and not just for Secret Files 2.

As a small gesture of our thanks, we are therefore sending you the frequently requested, reworked ending to Secret Files: Tunguska with this update. You do not necessarily have to start playing at the beginning to watch the new ending. It is enough to just load an appropriate savegame.

Also, a completely new feature, which we are also planning in a more refined form for the next release, will be activated as soon as the new final credits scroll across the screen: cut scene cinema. You can access it using the new entry in the main menu. You will then see small thumbnail images of all the intermediate sequences in chronological order, which you can play as often as you like by clicking on the image with the mouse. We hope you enjoy it.

And we have some more good news:

For most older systems (for example, laptops with onboard graphic chips) there is no more need for graphics driver updates. Some of these older drivers were defective and caused certain objects, which were integrated into the game as videos (such as rat traps, door in the courtyard of the clinic in Cuba, etc.), to not run when you clicked on them. This problem has been solved with a small but powerful new program. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Martin.

Systems with Dual Core processors sometimes had timing issues (with Nina dashing through the scenes in double time). We have also been able to solve this problem with a workaround – you no longer have to manually deactivate one of the processors.

In closing, here are a few tips from our technical support:

- If you see the error message "Unable to load file" and the game crashes, the installation is usually defective. This could be due to defective RAM or defective hardware.

- Defective RAM is also most likely the source of reported, unreproducible crashes. There are various tools available to check the RAM, such as Microsoft's "Windows Memory Diagnostic."

- The ATI Tray Tools utility, which is not an ATI product, could cause the game to crash when it starts. Please close the ATI Tray Tools before opening Secret Files: Tunguska.

- If you are having problems with the sound, please check to see if the sound card's hardware acceleration is set too high or too low (by trying different settings). You should also check to see if the "Windows PCM Converter" audio codec has been deactivated (Settings->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices–>Hardware–>Audio Codecs->Properties->Properties–>Microsoft PCM Converter->Properties)

- If you see the message "GetDeviceCaps failed." when the game is loading, you do not have a graphics driver with hardware acceleration installed on your computer (such as Microsoft's default VGA driver, for example). In this case, please install a suitable driver (you should be able to find one on the driver CD that came with your hardware).

Battle for Middle-Earth 2 Expanzija pozlaćena

Kompanija EA Games je objavila da se rad na prvoj expanziji igre LOTR Battle for Middle-Earth 2 priveo kraju i da je sve spremno za masovno umnožavanje. Nova Expanzija donosi sa sobom nove terene, jedinice, rase, totalno novu single-player kampanju i još mnogo toga drugoga. Ostale novitete koje ova igra pruža možete procitati u postu ispod:

NHL 2007 Demo

Konačno je stigla PC demo verzija igre NHL 07 koja vam pruža mogućnost da besplatno testirate novu veziju hokeaške serije. Demo tezak 1.89Gb sadrži u sebi tri tima (Philadelphia Flyers / NHL, HC Sparta Prague / ELH and Modo Hockey / Elitserien) i 5 minuta long perioda. Izbor mogućih jezika je Engleski, Češki i Švedski, a ako je neko zainteresovan za preuzimanje ovog demoa može ga naći  na ovoj adresi.

Ageia Technologies su bez mnogo pompe spustili cene njihovih PhysX fizickih akceleratora. Najavljeno je da ce tokom božicnih praznika nuditi PhysX kartice zajedno sa video igrama u vrednosti od 100$.

Pomenuti naslovi su City of Villains, Bet on Soldier: Blood of Sahara i Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Sve ove igre podržavaju fizicku akceleraciju.
Cene su pale u proseku oko 50$.

C&C3: TIBERIUM WARS

Electronic Arts su otkrili da ce sledece godine njihov naslov Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars stici na Xbox 360 pored do sada najavljene PC verzije.

C&C 3 boasts an intuitive console-specific control scheme, fast-action strategy gameplay, deep single player campaign, and an immersive multiplayer experience featuring massive battles where you take control of large armies on the battlefield of the future.
The year is 2047 and the stakes could not be higher. Tiberium-a self-replicating alien substance that has infected the Earth-is spreading like a radioactive ice age. The Global Defense Initiative, a high-tech alliance of the world's most advanced nations, is fighting to contain Tiberium, but Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of The Brotherhood of Nod has other plans for Earth. Kane's secret society turned superpower is bent on using Tiberium to take control and transform humanity into his twisted vision of the future. All-out war rages over Tiberium and the fate of the planet rests in the balance.

C&C 3 will be one of the most robust titles on Xbox LIVE, with a steady stream of downloadable content on Marketplace. The first dashboard theme featuring amazing concept art from the development team will be available soon.

COLIN MCRAE: DIRT

Codemasters su objavili kontingent novih screenshotova iz igre Colin McRae: DIRT, najsvežije igre u serijalu reli vožnji sa Colin McRae licencom.

Vlasnici PC, PlayStation 3 i Xbox 360 ce ovu igru videti tokom 2007.

XBOX 360 HD-DVD RECENZIJA

PCPerspective su recenzirali HD-DVD dodatak za Xbox 360 konzolu. Drajv koji podržava ovaj standard velikog kapaciteta trenutno može da se koristi samo da bi se gledali filmovi u HDTV rezoluciji i za malo šta drugo.

Samo par dana pošto je ovo parce hardvera za Xbox 360 pušteno u prodaju, našli su se i pametni ljudi koji su primetili da je moguce koristiti ovaj uredjaj na PC opremljenim Windows operativnim sistemom. Za gledanje filmova neophodno je posedovati HTPC- kompatibilnu graficku karticu.

GEARS OF WAR STIŽE NA PC?

U predstojecem praznicnom izdanju casopisa PC Gamer pojavila se nepotvrdjena fotografija štanda za PC igre na Microsoft kampusu. Štand sadrži i primerak igre Gears of War.

Microsoft nisu ni potvrdili ni demantovali ovaj navod. Gears of War na PC ce najverovatnije biti Windows Vista ekskluziva.

Sony PlayStation 3 je lansiran na tržište Sjedinjenih Americkih Država. Pocetak prodaje obeležili su kilometarski redovi potencijalnih kupaca.

Na Americkoj istocnoj obali, predsednik Sony Kaz Hirai i CEO Howard Stringer su delili konzole u prodavnici SonyStyle na Menhetnu. Opširnije
iSupply su napisali interesantan članak o tome koliko Sony PlayStation 3 konzola zapravo košta proizvodjaca. Cena proizvodnje jednog primerka PS3 je izmedju 806$ i 840$ dok je prodajna cena PS3 500$ i 600$ u zavisnosti od verzije.

Toliko o ideji da je PlayStation 3 "preskup", jer za 600$ dobijate multi-funkcionalan hardver u vrednosti od cak 840$ !!!

Call of Duty 4 u razvoju?!

Infinity Ward, razvojni tim najprodavanijeg World War II Shooter-a, izjavio je da se četvrti deo Call of Duty serijala nalazi u fazi razvoja. Za razliku od svojih prethodnika koji prikazuju Drugi svetski rat, CoD4 odstupa i premešta igrače na ratišta u sadašnjosti. Za sada nije poznato da li će autori forsirati pristup igranju koji je davno postavio EA sa Battlefieldom, ili će se držati svog i ovako odličnog pristupa i fantastičnog singleplayera. Protivnici u dosadašnjim FPS-ovima imaju oko 2-3 različite tačke na glavi u koje ih možete pogoditi, a CoD4 tu premašuje svaka očekivanja... naime, umesto tih par tačaka, uvedeno je čak 16 tačaka, što je i više nego dovoljno(Verovatno će biti moguće protivniku razneti uvo, ili neki drugi deo lica). Još jedna radosna vest je to što će se igra posle završetka razvoja plasirati i na PC tržište, što neće biti slučaj i sa trećim delom CoD-a (Koji, inače, razvija Treyarch, a ne Infinity Ward). Pored PC-a, igra će izaći i za konzole sledeće generacije.
