Sony Ericsson Whips out the Crystal Ball: 20MP Cameras and HD for Mobile Devices by 2012



As tough as it is to predict what innovations and advancements might take place in the future, there are certainly general trends to follow. In our current global economic troubles, there’s no doubt that many development budgets have been cut in half, or cut completely until things start to turn around.

Sony Ericsson has made some predictions on where things are going. In a document that I’ve posted above, you’ll notice Sony Ericsson is making some bold predictions about the mobile device in 2012. The predictions noted above include:

    * Digital Cameras to go to 12-20 megapixels
    * Video Cameras to have full HD resolution
    * Screen resolutions to go XGA (1024×768)
    * CPU’s to hit 1GHz
    * Internet connections to reach LTE 100+ Mbps

Now wouldn’t all those features be top shelf? A 1GHz processor in my mobile device… Yeah, I could see myself blazing around the internet, downloading way too much music and email… All from wherever I happen to be. Sounds not bad. In fact, if my phone could simply download music to my cerebral cortex, and I could tap on the left side of my head to play, and right side of my head to pause/stop, that would be cool too. Just an idea.

One might want to say to Sony Ericsson that they should perhaps focus on building cooler device in the here and now, but you have to admit… it’s nice to see SE looking forward and not backward. You can’t get to where you want to go without a plan!

Sony Ericsson Paris gets reviewed on film despite being killed pre-production



Call it the Paris, call it the P5 or call it the ghost of Sony Ericsson past - the bottom line is that this handset will likely never see the light of day. Those of you Sony Ericsson or UIQ die-hards out there will still be interested what we’ve got here though. We’re not sure who M. Kurowski is but he managed to get his hands on a Paris prototype and gave it some serious face time in a two-part video review for the ages. We have to say, this guy has got to be one of our favorite video reviewers of all time. Arguably even better than the Storm unboxing guy. Everything about this review is awesome - from the reviewer himself, to the fact that he shot the video in the dark, to the soothing sounds of what is either bacon sizzling or a fish tank bubbling in the background. It all combines to create a masterpiece. Amazing. Do yourself a favor and hit the jump for part two.

Sony Ericsson Kate to be launched as Sony Ericsson C510

Sony Ericsson Kate is a Cyber-shot phone that we first heard about two months ago. But it seems that what we’ve presented as Kate is, in fact, another handset.

According to the SEMC Blog, the real Sony Ericsson Kate will not have a 5MP camera, as previously reported, but only a 3.2MP one. Still, the cam will feature autofocus, smile shutter, face detection, Xenon flash and active lens cover, all of which should make up for a decent mid-end Cyber-shot handset.

The C510 should hit the market in about two months, hence in early 2009. Its price is not known yet, but it will almost surely not be on the hefty side.

As for the handset we first thought is Sony Ericsson Kate, that’s probably Sony Ericsson Filipa.

But I guess we’ll see which is which when the Swedish-Japanese manufacturer gets official with its next batch of Cyber-shot phones.

pre 4 godine mobilni su bili max 1 megapixel,ali retko koji,uglavnom su imali vga kamere...
internet da ne pricam...
a rezolucuja ono...abnormalno slabija...i uglavnom su imali po 60-ak hiljada boja,a ne ko sad....

za 4 godine ne da ce biti duplo,nego 4 puta bolje i razvijenije nego sad...
tehnika se razvija nenormalnom brzinom...vidis,na svakih 6 meseci napravi se novi kabl za internet koji je 3 puta brzi od proslog...
fazon za godinu svi bismo imali 6 puta brzi internet...ali to su oni veliki kablovi,sto idu pod more...oni glavni...
samo previse se brzo razvija,pa nikad da nesto ne iskoristimo...
to je kao onaj sto je imao seme pa zasadio,pa dobio od drveta jos 10 semenja,pa ponovo zasadio,pa dobio 100,pa zasadio,pa dobio 1000,pa zasadio,pa dobio 10000,pa zasadio,i na kraju crko od gladi...jer je samo ulagao
