Anti-Thief
Anti-Thief detects that your mobile is lost or stolen even if you didn't send a message to it. Just keep Anti-Thief status on and if you want to turn your phone off just turn Anti-Thief off first with your Turnoff code. If the phone is turned off in a wrong way (not turning Anti-Thief off first), next time the phone is powered on Anti-Thief will start automatically and will attack the thief with a permanent text on the screen saying that this mobile is lost or stolen with any other text you provide (recommended to be information to contact you) and a very loud long siren. The program will also send messages to a list of recipients you created for Anti-Thief. You can also send a message to Anti-Thief containing predefined words (activation text) to put it in attack state. Even if Anti-Thief status is off and a message arrived containing activation text, Anti-Thief will activate itself and attack the thief.

TheftAlert is an effective theft protection program for your mobile phone. If your phone has been stolen or lost, you can lock it by sending a special SMS, activate an alarm and show a permanent text defined by you on the mobile phone display. Your text should best contain your home address and your phone number or e-mail address, so that an honest finder can get in contact with you.

Also, the alert will be activated and the phone will be locked immediately, if a potential thief tries to put another SIM card into the phone. You will get information about the thief's new provider, SIM card number, country and cell position.

With TheftAlert you can not only prevent a potential thief from making calls using your SIM card but also increase your chance to get your phone back.
   


Main functions:
Lock phone by SMS.
Autolock phone after a defined number of minutes of no action.
Lock phone and notify owner if a thief tries to change the SIM card.
Display Home address and home phone number when locked.
Unlock phone by password.
Lock phone when a thief tries to hack your password.

Have you used the SMS: Lock..xxx, where xxx is your SMS command password
(not your program password)?

13:01    To lock your phone by SMS command, send LOCK..xxx to your phone, where xxx ist the SMS command password you have defined in TheftAlert. TheftAlert must be active.

Thanks for your help on this, I tried the two suggestions but the one that works is:

LOCK..xxx

Make sure its in capitals, and xxx is your SMS password, not your program password

I'm using this on an N-Gage and it is working a charm, good work guys, keep it up

19:22    I've just bought TheftAlert and it dosen't work.

Of cause I woulden't have bought it if I'd known that it didn't, but on the handango hp, where I filled the Checkout Info, under Intended Device, I found four versions.

These:

Nokia 6600 (I claim that my 6600 belongs under this one)
Nokia 6600 - ATT
Nokia 6600 - Cingular
Nokia 6600 - TMobile

If the 6600 is not supported, these four Nokia 6600s woundn't be on the list of indended devices, fooling custumers into buying Your product.

Besides, you write that TheftAlert supports Nokia Series 60 phones, and my 6600 is a Series 60 phone.

So if you were responsible, you would have written that TA didn't support the 6600, either in the Microteq products page, or when I chose the Nokia 6600 in the intended device list.

If you have forgotten that it looks like when a Nokia 6600 appears four times on a intended device list, cuz I have made a screenshot of it.
I'll mail it to you on request.

I think that a refund, or a fast and free update, making the 6600 a supported phone, would be the right thing to do in this case

14:17    Theftalert does support 6600 only with some Firmware releases. Please take advantage of the 15 day trial period, before buyng TheftAlert.

On Handango, TheftAlert should not appear under 6600, because we explicitely have excluded it from the compatibility list. If you select 6600 as your device, you will not find TheftAlert, we tested that.

If there still is a problem with this on Handango, please contact Handango.

There WAS the 6600 listed as compatible on this homepage at one place.
I claimed that and they removed the info the same day and insisted later it was never there. I still have the screenshots and can prove it.
THIS IS A VERY BAD BEHAVIOR. Imho, THOSE GUYS ARE NOT TREATING CUSTOMERS RIGHT, STAY AWAY.

with Anti-Thief there is really no way to lose your mobile whatsoever

No dependency on SMS with Anti-Thief

Important Notes:

1-      Anti-Thief default Turnoff code is (0000), you would be asked about this code if you want to change configurations or if you want to turn Anti-Thief off (this is only if Anti-Thief status is on), it is recommended you change this code to any other code you like (up to 14 digits).

2-      Turning Anti-Thief status on not allowed in demo mode, also if a message arrived to the phone containing activation text, Anti-Thief will not attack in demo mode, but you can simulate attack in demo mode.

just keep Anti-Thief status on (in configuration-application section) and if you want to turn your phone off just turn Anti-Thief off first with your Turnoff code (in configuration-application section), and now if the phone is turned off in a wrong way (not turning Anti-Thief off first), next time the phone is powered on Anti-Thief will start automatically and know that you are not the one who turned the mobile off and immediately attacks the thief with a permanent text on the screen saying that this mobile is lost or stolen with any other text you provide Anti-Thief (recommended to be information to contact you) and a very loud long siren, also send messages to a list of recipients you created for Anti-Thief informing you that the phone is locked and the new SIM number if someone changed your SIM.

You can also send a message to Anti-Thief containing predefined words (activation text) to put it in attack state.

Two thing to be mentioned:

1- If the SIM changed, that phone will restart, that means that anti thief will not be turned off properly, and as the phones restarts anti-thief will keep attacking !

2- even if Anti-Thief status is off and a message arrived containing activation text (sms activation text in configuration-application section) Anti-Thief will attack the thief and turn the status on !
