Unlike traditional iPhone shooters, such as Modern Combat and CoD: World at War: Zombies, Zombie Crisis 3D doesn’t use a virtual joystick configuration.

Instead, the game is on rails, automatically moving your character through the hellish environment as you tap away at undead dudes.

There are three weapons to choose from, different types of zombies, monster boss characters and gallons of goopy zombie blood. Absolutely everywhere.

Plus there's 21 levels and a story about biological accidents, mysterious corporations, mercenary soldiers and viruses. Sounds a tad familiar?

Galaxy on Fire 2




If nothing else, Galaxy on Fire 2 (on sale for $6.99, regularly $9.99) deserves credit for being one of the most ambitious games to come to the App Store. The Fishlabs release is set in a massive virtual universe with more than 20 star systems and 100 space stations. There is also a deep storyline, with your goal being to guide the series’ hero Keith T. Maxwell across the galaxy back to home – though as you might guess, this can be a lengthy process full of side missions. Additionally the high resolution graphics are fantastic, and this sequel is an all-around improvement to the series’ first release. This is a no-brainer download for fans of the first Galaxy on Fire (and quick, before the price jumps up), and a great option for anyone hoping to get lost in an iOS game.

Revolt: 3D shooter for iPhone now in AppStore




Revolt, a long anticipated and long a-coming (it was first announced at the beginning of this year, 2010) 3D shooter for the iPhone is now finally available in the AppStore.

Revolt pits you in the role of a human resistance fighter fighting the machines, placing you eerishly close to the Terminator movies. You know, the last man standing apocalyptic feeling sort of thing.

The game is a 3D dual-stick action “kill-em-all” shooter, but with a lot of RPG and strategic elements.

Supplemented by great graphics, Revolt seems to be a winner judging by its early reviews.

And its creators already announced that they have a Revolt v1.1 patch in the works, bringing such features as a new “lights out” mode.

Revolt is now available to download from the AppStore for $1.99.
