LG KF750 launched, now known as secret, thinnest 5 MP camera phone on the market

 

his 102.8 x 50.8 x 11.8 mm thin, 116 gram device has a 5 megapixel camera with facial recognition, 2.4 inch 240 x 320 resolution 262k color touch enabled screen and has a built in accelerometer. The coolest feature, hands down, is the 120 frames per second video recording support at 320 x 240 resolution and 30 frames per second at 640 x 480 resolution. The body is made from Carbon Fibre, is quad band GSM/EDGE, has HSDPA, but I don't know on which frequency, an 800 mAh battery and FM radio. Bluetooth 2.0 of course, but you expected so.

This device has a slick dedicated site that does a really kick ass job of going through everything it can do, nice sound track too, worth checking out.

Motorola A810 sa Linux OS

Proizvođači mobilnih telefona su u večitoj borbi za što veći deo tržišta i pribegavaju raznim rešenjima kako bi korisnici kupili baš njihov uređaj. Motorola je odlučila da ljubiteljima Linux platforme predstavi novi mobilni telefon koji radi pod ovim operativnim sistemom.

U pitanju je Motorola A810, telefon koji izgleda veoma lepo. Zahvaljujući Linux OS, A810 telefon poseduje QWERTY i numeričku tastaturu na ekranu, dok maska sadrži osnovne hardverske tastere. Telefon ima podršku za tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) mrežu. U telefon je ugrađena kamera od 2 megapiksela (doduše bez mogućnosti fotografisanja u maraku jer nema blica), a za one kojima je uvek malo prostora za skladištenje fajlova tu je dodatni slot za microSD kartice. Bluetooth podrška je neizbežna, a A810 poseduje i FM radio prijemnik.

Kako Motorola A810 telefon ne poseduje podršku za GSM 850 MHz (tržište S.A.D), ljubitelji Linux operativnog sistema u Evropi moći će da uživaju u prilično funkcionalnom telefonu, sa svim potrebnim opcijama.

Sony Ericsson yesterday announced its brand new technology, codenamed Project Capuchin.

This technology will bridge the Java ME platform and the Adobe Flash Lite platform in a new developer platform for fast & clean user interfaces, both graphically and code-wise. The technology will among other things make it possible to use Java ME in the application codes, while being able to use Adobe's Flash Lite technology for the application interface.

Video: iSwish puts the iPhone UI on any Windows Mobile phone



While you can argue that Windows Mobile is feature-for-feature and spec-for-spec superior to OS X on the iPhone, Apple's mobile UI is certainly more fun to use. So if you're running WinMo with a hankerin' for rubber band-like scrolling, jiggly icons, screen flicking, SummerBoard themes, and even simulated multi-touch pinching of photos then you're in luck. Flick Software Research is set to release its iSwish interface and iZoom pinch software in beta come "early May." The MotoZINE ZN5, as it's called, is due to kick up the flagging company's cameraphone offerings with a high-quality shooter to compete with the cameraphone elite from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, and LG. WND Wind DUO 2200 Dual Phone



What looks like a couple of phones duct-taped together is actually the WND Wind DUO 2200. This unique handset reminds me of Siamese twins - it features two of nearly everything, including displays, SIMs, keypads, colors, and 2 megapixel cameras. It will feature 180 hours of standby time, but here's something to get you thinking - what happens when both phones ring simultaneously? I think this is perfect for the couple who cannot bear to be apart from one another even for a second, and it definitely helps build up trust between two people as they share one physical handset. Pretty weird, this. No idea on pricing though.

5G mreža uz pomoć nanosatelita?



NASA je skolopila partnerski sporazum sa kompanijom m2mi (Machine-to-Machine Intelligence) koji će omogućiti poboljšanje upravljanja telekomunikacijama i Internetom iz svemira.

NASA Ames i m2mi će zajedničkim snagama stvoriti veoma male satelite (nanosatelite), kojima bi trebalo da započne nova era u ljudskoj istoriji - komercijalizacija svemira. Zapravo radi se o tome da NASA planira sa mnogim kompanijama razvoj ekonomije u svemiru, a nanosateliti su tek početak.

Nanosateliti su prilično isplativi, jer teže između 5 i 50 kilograma, a za njihovu proizvodnju neće biti potrebno izdvajanje puno sredstava. Veliki broj ovih satelita biće postavljen u niskoj Zemljinoj orbiti i omogućiće rad novih telekomunikacionih sistema. Ovi nanosateliti trebalo bi da obezbede globalnu, jaku i brzu mrežu za komunikacije, skladištenje podataka i nadgledanje Zemlje. Pad satelita ili problemi u radu pojedinačnih uređaja ne bi trebalo da utiču na celokupan sistem, istaknuto je u saopštenju.

Prema sporazumu, NASA i m2mi sarađivaće i na razvoju pete generacije telekomunikacionog i mrežnog sistema (5G). Ovaj projekat pokazuje velike šanse i mogućnosti u revoluciji mobilnih komunikacija u budućnosti. U saopštenju koje je NASA predstavila nema informacija kada bi nova tehnologija mogla komercijalno da zaživi.

FCC passes Motorola A1600 MOTOMING 2



It's too bad Motorola hasn't seen fit to bring the Motorola A1600 MING 2 to the US. The FCC has just checked off on the uniquely-designed A1600 MOTOMING 2 handset, which is good news to anyone looking forward to getting their hands on the Motorola clamshell.

The Moto A1600 MING 2 ups the ante on its A1200 MING predecessor with a 3.2 megapixel camera, quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio, and and alleged WiFi radio, while keeping the MING's characteristic see-through flip-design.

There likely won't be too many MOTOMING 2 handsets floating around The States, but if you feel like you can't live without one, it's nice to know that the MING 2 will play nice with US frequencies.

We're still looking for a Q2 2008 launch of the Motorola A1600 MING 2, so it won't be too long before we see this handset available through your favorite importer/retailer.

Philips' new 'Xenium 800' touchscreen phone leaks out



If you had a creeping suspicion that the iPhone-esque phone market wasn't crowded enough yet -- you're right. Apparently, Philips is about to throw its hat in the ring with a device called the Xenium X800. The familiar looking unit will sport WiFi, a WQVGA "e2e" (or "edge to edge") touchscreen, and appears to be running a proprietary OS which looks considerably better than most phones in this class. Sure, it's heavily knocking off Sony's XMB and that new BlackBerry OS 4.6, but there are worse offenses that could be made. No word on more detailed specs, but you'll know more when we do.

Porsche Design P'9521, now with more white



For most of us, the Porsche Design P'9521 is hard enough to find as it is -- but throw a limited edition into the mix, and, well, you have a very special phone indeed. The P'9521 is being re-clad in a rather striking white as part of the design firm's Pearl White Collection being launched in Taiwan this month, and the privilege of adding this one to your stable will run a mere 62,800 Taiwan dollars -- about $2,063. Pricey, yes, but at least Porsche has the common decency to throw in a 2GB microSD card and the reassurance that the odds of running into another P'9521 Pearl White user are nearly zero.
