Gudjohnsen u Lyonu kao dio velikog transfera Karima Benzeme?

PREMA navodima španjolskog dnevnika Sporta, islandski napadač Barcelone Eidur Gudjohnsen (30) na kraju će sezone napustiti redove katalonskog kluba nezadovoljan minutažom koju dobiva.

Najrealnijim se zasad čini transfer u redove Lyona, s čijim je predstavnicima sportski direktor Barcelone Txiki Begiristain već započeo pregovore.

Barcelona navodno pokušava Gudjohnsena uključiti u transfer Karima Benzeme, najboljeg napadača Lyona, ali se to čini malo vjerojatnim.

Gudjohnsenov ugovor s Barcelonom istječe u lipnju sljedeće godine, a njegova se vrijednost na tržištu procjenjuje na pet milijuna eura. Ove je sezone Gudjohnsen nastupio u tek 23 utakmice u španjolskom prvenstvu, većinu ih je započeo s klupe, a zabio je tri pogotka.

Barcelona službeno ponudila 45 milijuna za Fabregasa

KAKO izvještava Sunday Mirror, europski nogometni prvak Barcelona je ponudila Arsenalu 45 milijuna eura za "svog" igrača Cesca Fabregasa.

Od 2000. do 2003. godine je 22-godišnji Cesc Fabregas igrao u mladom pogonu Barcelone, ali nije dočekao dan da potpiše profesionalni ugovor s katalonskim klubom. Te 2003. godine je, na nagovor Arsenea Wengera, Arsenal angažirano ovog veznog igrača koji se u londonskom klubu potpuno afirmirao.

No, još prošle sezone je Barcelona pustila priču u javnost kako želi natrag Fabregasa. Ove sezone su pojačane priče oko takve mogućnosti, a sada, navodno, na stolu stoji 45 milijuna eura.

U Barceloni žele pomladiti vezni red, koji unatoč sjajnim igrama, vapi za svježom krvi. Fabregas je po njihovom mišljenju idealan početak nadogradne veznog reda.

Fabregas je, pak, u zadnje vrijeme izjavljivao da konstantno prati, kada stigne, sve što se događa s Barcelonom i da je to klub njegove mladost i najveće ljubavi. Uz to je, nedavno, izjavio sljedeće:

"Ljubomoran sam na način kako Barcelona igra. Divota je gledati, mogu tek misliti kako je lijepo igrati u takvom sustavu."

Guardiola zove Maldinija u Barcelonu

TRENER nogometaša Barcelone Josep Guardiola pregovara s Paolom Maldinijem. Nudi mu mjesto uz sebe na klupi novoga europskog prvaka, piše Channel 4.

Guardiola je u Rimu osvojeni naslov pobjednika Lige prvaka posvetio braniču Milana kojem se osobito divi.

"Paolo je najveći europski nogometaš u posljednjih 20 godina", rekao je Guardiola.

Channel4.com tvrdi da je 38-godišnji Španjolac, koji je od 2001. do 2003. godine igrao u Italiji za Bresciju i Romu, otišao tako daleko da je uskoro 41-godišnjem Talijanu ponudio mjesto asistenta u svome stručnom stožeru.

Maldini, koji se oprašta od igračke karijere nakon 24 godine nastupanja u Milanu i 1041 odigrane utakmice, izjavio je da ne namjerava, barem ne odmah, nastaviti raditi u nogometu. Nije, međutim, pomišljao da će mu ponuda doći tako brzo, i to iz europskog prvaka.

CL Special: Messi Beat Cristiano Ronaldo, But Xavi & Iniesta Beat Them All

The Argentine whiz triumphed in the much-hyped head-to-head battle with ‘CR7’, yet it was Barcelona’s home-grown middle-men who ran the show in Rome…

In the first few minutes of play in the most anticipated Champions League final in recent memory, Cristiano Ronaldo threatened to make the game his own. The Manchester United man, playing through the middle, turned the Barcelona defence inside out in the early going; it was because of him that the shot tally read 5-0 to the English after eight minutes.

Then Samuel Eto’o latched onto the end of the Blaugrana’s first attack of the night, dummied around Nemanja Vidic and bundled the ball into Edwin van der Sar’s net. The game was never the same from then on.

And as Ronaldo was ushered off centre stage, into the spotlight stepped Lionel Messi.

Also removed from his customary right-wing station to play up top, the Argentine was simply a menace for the remainder of the match. Deployed by Pep Guardiola to do what he did in the 6-2 drubbing of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, ‘Little Leo’ cruelly exposed  the United rearguard’s inability to deal with genuine pace and trickery.

Messi’s knack for keeping possession in tight spaces and wending his way through crowded corridors far outstripped that of the man who beat him to the FIFA World Player of the Year award. And his off-the-ball work paid off when he drifted in to head home the second-half sealer at the far post.

In the end, it was as one-sided an affair in the Messi-Ronaldo battle as it was throughout the contest as a whole. Yet ‘El Mesias’ was not necessarily on top of his game – he hit his fair share of dead ends – and it was at the core of the Barca setup that the damage was truly done.

Such was the dominance of Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, one could be forgiven for thinking that Sir Alex Ferguson had forgotten to include any central midfielders in his starting XI. The trio of Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and Anderson were simply nonexistent; and barring one trademark 50-yard diagonal pass, Paul Scholes’ only contribution after coming on was to maul Sergi Busquets with similarly Scholes-esque tackle.

There was an undeniable beauty in the Spanish side’s midfield play. The quiet but controlling Xavi typified the club’s pass-and-move ethos with his tidy, inventive, one-touch football, dovetailing brilliantly with the energetic jinking of his forward-thinking partner. Between them, these two were responsible for both goals (and many more other chances): Iniesta set up the first with a muscular burst from the middle, while it was Xavi’s sublime cross that allowed Messi to nod home the second.

Truly, these two were a class apart at the Stadio Olimpico; one might even argue that this display cements them as the world’s premier playmaking pair. But credit must be given to the rest of Guardiola’s treble-winning team – in particular, the key men in their makeshift defence.

With Dani Alves and Eric Abidal suspended, Carles Puyol reverted to right-back while Yaya Toure filled in at centre-half. Both performed admirably, the captain even venturing forward during the second half and almost sliding home what would have been a well-deserved goal.

Sylvinho also executed his role with aplomb – Ji-sung Park hardly had a touch – but the star man at the back was, appropriately, Gerard Pique. Sold by United last year, the youngster has grown immeasurably since returning to Camp Nou and capped off a fine season with a rock-solid showing in Rome. One must think that Ferguson would gladly have swapped Vidic for his former charge on the night.

All in all, it was a supreme all-round performance from Barcelona: they comfortably outplayed their opposition, and Guardiola out-thought his vastly more experienced counterpart. If ever there has been a deserving winner of the European Cup, it is Barca.

Victor Valdes (Barcelona)

Everybody remembers the gormless look on Valdes' face as he watched a Juninho free kick fly straight over his head and into the back of the net for reasons as yet unexplained to the still-laughing public, but let's give this a little more thought for a moment.

He is one of Barcelona's weak links, but made a string of massive saves in decisive games, on the rare occasions Barcelona didn't have the ball and were actually required to do some defending. He acquitted himself well. The likes of Buffon, Casillas, Van der Sar, Cech, Reina or Julio Cesar have no legitimate claim to this place ahead of Valdes, even if he does have his 'special' moments.

Jose Bosingwa (Chelsea)

Showed what athleticism and discipline can do in the absence of any outstanding skill. Always manned his flank admirably and did well for himself on his wrong wing when he played the main part in shackling Messi over two legs.

Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)

All season long, the defensive plaudits for the Red Devils have largely fallen at the feet of Nemanja Vidic above all else - and with reasonably good cause - but a perfect illustration of just how difficult defending really is came when he switched off for a split second against Samuel Eto'o in the final, and may well have lost his side the game.

Rio, fortunately for him, didn't have such a defining moment of madness. He, along with Vidic and O'Shea, could have done more on the second goal, but generally, his performances throughout the tournament were as classy as his partner's and deserving of recognition.

Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus)

This year's tournament didn't cover itself in defensive glory, which perhaps explains how a player who didn't even make it past the second round has found his way into the team of the tournament. Chiellini struggled at times against Drogba, who was playing like a man possessed, but otherwise played with such strength and power that he at times defended for Juve by himself.

Aly Cissokho (Porto)

Surely, one of the finds of the tournament, who best acquitted himself against United, over two legs, in which Porto were maybe a shade unfortunate to be eliminated. Cissokho's power, athleticism and admirable ability to almost always get a cross into the box are qualities that cannot be overlooked in a full-back. An outstanding prospect.

Xavi (Barcelona)

He did it at Euro 2008, now he's done it in the European Champions League. The Confederations Cup, the Club World Cup and then the real one, the big cheese, the World Cup, awaits his mastery. He is finally realising his full potential as a playmaker and looks a class apart from anyone else in his position. Effortlessly orchestrated countless Barcelona masterclasses: from the Bayern bashing to the riot in Rome. No stage is too big and no opposition is too strong for the architect of Barca's magic.

Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)

He has gone from being an unsing hero, to anything but, and with good cause. Iniesta has gone from strength-to-strength, seemingly from game-to-game, and we're all waiting for it to stop, but hoping it doesn't. His close control is a thing to behold, his dribbling effortless and his passing serene. If he just shot more often - though Drogba and Ballack may disagree - there would be little stopping him. He had a fantastic final, infamously won the semi and never failed to deliver.

Frank Lampard (Chelsea)

Testament to both the outstanding number of goals we've seen in this competition as well as the global decline of defending is that the third and final midfielder is none other than Super Frank, Super Goals. His consistency and professionalism through thick and thin cannot be praised enough. His marking of Xabi Alonso was instrumental in the Blues getting past their Red rivals. His goals, as always, were crucial from the groups through to the knockout stages.

He was perhaps disappointing against Barcelona, which almost cost him his place to his own team-mate, Michael Essien, but it was the Ghanaian, despite his wonder goal, whose scuffed clearance ultimately led to the Blues' elimination.

Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)

If anyone can rival Ronaldo and Messi for terrorising defences across the entire forward line, it's probably Franck Ribery. He was everything good about Bayern upon their return to Europe's premier club competition. He practically dismantled Sporting Lisbon 12-1 on aggregate by himself (see it if you don't believe it) and gave Barcelona a good go whenever he had the chance, as well. He is nothing short of world class, which is why he will be heading out of Bavaria and to any one of Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Let's not mince words. He scored a crucial goal against Inter, a crucial and quite phenomenal goal against Porto and two more very, very impressive ones against Arsenal. Even in the final, he was Man United's best player and only threat. He had an outstanding tournament, and did his very best to prove he could beat Leo Messi, but...

...He didn't. Don't think being muted against Chelsea wasn't taken into account - because it was - but then we remember Bayern, we remember the group stages, we remember Lyon, and of course, we remember the finals. We also remember his nine goals, and the fact it usually takes three players to stop him going wherever it is he wants to go. He is nothing short of a phenomenon, and after missing out on really being a part of the 2006 triumph, this was his year.

And so Barcelona, as expected, dominate the team of the tournament with four entries. Finalists United only managed two, the same as semi-getters and last year's also-rans, Chelsea. Arsenal, despite getting to the final four, didn't have an outstanding individual talent who was fortunate enough to find himself in the line-up alongside the Bayern, Juve and Porto stars who made up the rest of the XI.

Што се мене тиче, сувишни су Рибери или Роналдо. Мрзим овако глупе изборе, где треба сабити што више звезда и направити формацију, где би сви играли напад. Офанзиваца пун курац, ал' класичног шпица нигде.

Није ми јасно како се није нашло места за Пикеа, Пујола или Алвеша, односно једног од њих тројице. Ипак је та одбрана била скоро непробојна током целог такмичења. С друге стране могли су наћи и бољег од Валдеза. Јаја Туре, Џерард и Лисандро су такође били одлични ове године. Овај последњи би могао бити тај нападач, кога сам помињао и који фали у овом избору.


Ако би се држао ове формације (4-3-3), тим би овако изгледао.

Бекови нек' остану, као у овом тиму горе. Мрзи ме да размишљам, ко би ту још могао бити.

У средини одбране би има више кандидата.

Фердинанд - усрао код Месијевог гола у финалу, а и мучио са са њим целу утакмицу;

Видић - баш усрао код гола Етоа и слабо одиграо финале, али је до тад био одличан. Дао и врло битан гол против Интера;

Кијелини - по мени и најбољи одбрамбени на свету и заиста је добро играо ове године у ЛШ, али је Јуве стигао само до осмине-финала. Јесу играли и за то кратко време четири врло јаке утакмице (Реал Мадрид и Челзи), али ипак мислим да играчи, чији тимови нису отишли даље од осмине-финала, не би требали бити у конкуренцији.

Пике - све је изненадио одличним играма ове године. У четврт-финалу зауставио Тонија, након тога Дрогбу, а у финалу навала Манчестера није урадила готово ништа.

Издвајам Фердинанда и Пикеа. Одређене ситнице, по мени, другу двојицу избацују из конкуренције.

Средина треба бити таман она која је доминирала цело такмичење. Значи то су Туре, Ћави и Инијесте, а у ужој конкуренцији би се нашли и Џерард, Лампард, Есијен.

У нападу би по боковима играли Меси и Кристина, а у као центарфор Лисандро.
