Bayern: We Want Pandev 

Bayern Munich director Paul Breitner has confirmed that the club wish to sign Lazio star Goran Pandev.


The Macedonian striker is regarded as one of the most promising players in Europe and put in a stunning performance in Lazio’s last Champions League match against Real Madrid, where he scored two goals. 

Former German World Cup hero Breitner, who famously scored in both the 1974 and 1982 World Cup finals, is now a director at Bayern Munich, and was present at the Stadio Olimpico during the Real Madrid game. 

“We want Goran Pandev,” declared Breitner. “We have already come to see him three times and we will return to watch him again on October 31.” 

It is believed the Bundesliga giants, who already signed Luca Toni from Serie A in the summer, are willing to pay up to €30m for the 24-year-old. 

Pandev’s current contract runs until 2010 and he has recently stated that he has no interest in leaving the Biancocelesti. 

Other clubs said to be interested in his signature include Chelsea, Tottenham, Barcelona, and Real Madrid themselves.

Generalni menadžer minhenskog Bayerna Uli Hoeness kaže kako očekuje da će trener tog kluba Ottmar Hitzfield pristati na potpis novog ugovora, koji mu u klubu namjeravaju ponuditi ove zime.

58-godišnji švicarski stručnjak je proteklog tjedna izjavio kako još uvijek nije siguran želi li ostati na Allianz Areni i sljedeće sezone, otkrivši kako bi nakon europskog prvenstva sljedeće godine volio preuzeti švicarsku reprezentaciju, ali Hoeness je uvjeren kako će ga ipak uspjeti zadržati.

"Imam puno razloga da vjerujem kako će Hitzfield ostati s nama nakon što se sastanemo u zimskoj stanci." rekao je Hoeness.

Goalkeeper:

1)  Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)

Although beaten twice by Mladen Petric, the 25 year old keeper pulled off a number of fine saves to keep his side in the game.  The former U-21 keeper has been in fine form this season and Leverkusen will want his form to continue if they are to push on and start to challenge at the top of the league.

Defenders:

2)  Marc Stein (Hansa Rostock)

Left-back Marc Stein not only profited from Schalke keeper Manuel Neuer’s error to grab the equaliser, but put in a fine defensive performance to keep the Königsblauen attack at bay.

3)  Radim Kucera (Arminia Bielefeld)

Bielefeld’s Czech defender was a rock against Karlsruher to help secure his side’s first points in four games.  The game itself wasn’t full of chances, but it seemed he was on hand whenever KSC did manage to threaten Mathias Hain in the Bielefeld goal.

4)  Joris Mathijsen (Hamburg)

Although many of the plaudits will go to Olic for his three goals, Dutch defender Mathijsen was one of Hamburg’s best players on an afternoon where lots of the team impressed.

Midfielders:

5)  David Jarolim (Hamburg)

With Rafael van der Vaart out injured the onus was on the other HSV midfielders to step up and take control.  Czech international David Jarolim did just that with a top performance.  He capped a fine game by providing the incisive pass that led to the third goal for Ivica Olic.

6)  Marek Mintal (Nürnberg)

With Nürnberg trainer Hans Meyer calling on his players to produce a performance to kick start their season, former Bundesliga top-scorer Marek Mintal certainly did just that.  Two goals in the 5-1 win doubled his season’s tally so far and will surely give him and the team the confidence boost they need to get their poor season back on track.

7)  Diego (Werder Bremen)

Another appearance in the Team of the Week for the impish Brazilian.  Werder find themselves second in the table now after their win over Hertha handed them their fourth win in five league matches.  The form of the former Santos and Porto midfielder has been a major factor in this form.  On Saturday against Berlin he was again the architect, setting Werder on their way with a great assist for Almeida’s opener.

8 )  Sergio Pinto (Hannover)

The Portuguese midfielder was involved in everything good that Hannover produced on Sunday against Wolfsburg.  Scored a very good equaliser, following up his own lob which had hit the post.  With Huszti having a relatively quiet game, Pinto took over the playmaking role and created much of the home side’s attacking impetus.

9)  Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich)

Yet another stellar, match-winning performance from the Frenchman.  With many pundits predicting Bayern could come unstuck against Bochum due the tiredness of some of their internationals, Ribéry showed no fatigue at all as he dazzled the crowd inside the Rewirpower Stadion.  His cheeky back-heeled finish bamboozled Jan Lastuvka to get Bayer level in the game, and then the winger cut the ball across for Schweinsteiger to fire in Bayern’s winner in the second half.

Forwards:

10)  Ivica Olic (Hamburg)

A first half hat trick from the Croatian inside 35 minutes blew struggling Stuttgart away at the HSH Nordbank Arena.  The first after seven minutes was a slick finish after being played in by Zidan, the second  was scored from close range after confusion in the VfB defence, and the third was a simple tap-in after Jarolim had dissected the Stuttgart back line.

11)  Mladen Petric (Borussia Dortmund)

Petric returned to the Dortmund line-up after two games out injured and made an instant impact on his comeback.  His two goals gave BVB the lead twice only for Leverkusen to hit back twice and secure a point.  These goals take his season’s tally to six and was the third game he has grabbed a brace for Dortmund.

Golman minhenskog Bajerna Oliver kan počeo je sa lakšim treninzima nakon tronedeljne pauze zbog operacije lakta.

Vremešni Kan odradio je u ponedeljak trening u Minhenu, ali iz bavarskog kluba nije saopšteno da li će on biti spreman za prvi meč Liga Kupa UEFA protiv Crvene zvezde u četvrtak u Beogradu.

Kana, koji je morao da se podvrgne operaciji zbog hroničnih problema sa bolovima u laktu, na prethodnim mečevima menjao je Mihael Rensing.

Francuski internacionalac u redovima Bavaraca Franck Ribery ozlijedio se za vrijeme subotnjeg bundesligaškog susreta protiv Bochuma zbog čega nije sudjelovao niti na jutrošnjem treningu momčadi dok će talijanski napadač Luca Toni susret na Marakani najvjerojatnije propustiti zbog gripe.

U njemačkoj momčadi koja je ove sezone najveći favorit za osvajanje Kupa UEFA neće biti niti Martina Demichelisa i Daniela van Buytena.

Bajern se raspituje za Freja

Sebastijan Frej (27), čuvar mreže Fiorentine, mogao bi da nasledi vremešnog Olivera Kana na golu minhenskog Bajerna.

Bavarci već dugo traže zamenu za 38-godišnjeg plavokosog veterana, jer je procena da mladi Mihael Rensing (23) nije ni dovoljno kvalitetan, ni iskusan da u dogledno vreme stane na gol slavnog kluba.

Francuz Frej, koji je debitovao u Seriji A kao tinejdžer na golu Intera, a potom otišao u Parmu, nalazi se i na listi želja Milana, a cena mu se kreće oko 10 miliona funti.
