HTC patentira G-sensor metod za unos teksta

HTC just submitted a patent for a new text entry method using the G-sensor in its device. The idea is fairly simple. Each key has multiple characters, tilt the device when you hit a key will determine what character gets registered.

Update oko aplikacija:
1) Bowling - zanimljiva igra; radi u ponoj WVGA rezoluciji ali je najveca mana ta sto je kartko vreme od izbacivanja kugle do udara... (tj. imate malo vremena da odradite "torziju" sa G-senzorom). Voleo bih da je to vreme malo duze... Ovako mi vise nije cef 
2) NFS Underground - odlicna igra! Bolje nego Asphalt, sto se tice grafike.U WVGA rezoluciji radi extra. Podrzan i landscape mod. Upravljajne putem g-senzora je bolje u landscape mod-u. Nadam se da ce u iducim verzijama da poprave da je treshold malo "labilniji" ali je u svakom slucaju dosta igrivo sa g sensorom (moze se biti prvi  )

Mana je sto su nivoi kratki, pa je potrebno svega minut-minut i po da se predje jedna etapa. Ima vise tipova nivoa (lomite sve oko sebe  , zatim napad na pandure  , klasicna trka na etape, "face to face" trka za bonus automobile, kao i nivo gde morate biti sto dalji od protivnika {sa malo nitra prelazio sam i do 15 sekundi... )

Application Description
Phone Buddy for HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro Phones :

    * Tilt Integration : If enabled this feature will cause your phone to simulate a left right keypress depending on the screen you are on. eg. if you are playing music, tilting the phone right or left will go to the next/previous track. If you are in seeing photos, it will go forward/backward within your photo album depending on the tilt direction.
    * Meeting Function : If enabled puts your phone into vibrate mode when you put your HTC Diamond face down, and will set it back to normal ringer when you put it face-up. It uses HTC Diamond’s built in accelerometer/G-Sensor for this. [DEMO VIDEO BELOW]
    * Outlook Integration :If you check 'Use Outlook Integration’, Phone Buddy will put your phone into vibrate mode only if it sees that you are in a meeting (It does this by checking your phone’s outlook calendar)
    * Pocket Sensor :If you use 'Outlook Integration’ another settings becomes available to you called 'Pocket Sensor’, if you check this, Phone Buddy will put your phone into vibrate mode, if it senses darkness (i.e your phone is probably in your pocket). It uses HTC Diamond’s light sensor for this.
    * Lock phone with Ambient Light :Phone Buddy also has an option which allows you to lock/unlock the phone automatically using ambient light. So, if it is dark it will lock the phone’s keyboard. (So you don’t accidentally dial someone when your phone is in your pocket). It will unlock the keyboard as soon as you take it out of your pocket.
    * Shake Lock/Unlock :Another option that it gives you is to lock/unlock the phone when you shake your phone.

Fighter (Gsensor game)

A nice arcade game for Windows Mobile has popped up on XDA-Developers.  The game is G-Sensor enabled, which makes for more interesting game play.

Unfortunately the game is mostly in Chinese ( ), but for a shooter such as this it does not matter too much.

This game is an incredible game which is gsensored and it has very fun.

There is only one problem. I found this game in a chinese site, so the game is in Chinese. However, you can play the game with no problems.

Throttlelock + G - sensor effects


Prerequisites
WM5 / 6 / 61. Device.
Net.CF 2.0 or 3.5 installed
1 MB of storage space.
1 MB of free mem.
Will work on any device screen! It's tested to work in qVGA, wqVGA,VGA and wVGA.
3D effect will only work on Samsung or HTC GSensor enabled devices.

 


Configuration

There's a tool called "ThrottleLock Settings" at StartMenu > Programs where you can configure how ThrottleLock works.

The most important ones are the lock automatically and Idle time before lock that will make the device lock when ever you turnoff the device and the timeout is reached.

Important: In the config dialog you must click the top right OK button to save the changes. The exit soft key just exit the application without saving.

 
Skins

The app is fully skinable. You can easyly develop new skins by copying the Default skin to another folder inside the skins folder and replacing the png graphics with the ones you like. You can also change font's and spacings by modifying skin.xml file.

Also the app suports multilanguaje. Spanish, English, French, German and Swedish translations are included (though the configuration tool is only available in english at the moment)... To translate the app to your languaje just copy the texts.txt file to a file called texts_XXX.txt where XXX is the 3 chars ISO code for your languaje and then translate the texts inclued in that file. Respect the line orders and cariage returns, also take care to keep the UTC16 encoding. If you have a translation file and want to share it don't heistate posting it at the forum! I will include it in further releases.

SensorMaze

It generates mazes and allows you to steer a little blue dot using the movement sensors in the HTC Diamond. It is based on the original SensorTest program

Usage:

Try to send the blue dot to the red dot by tilting your Diamond in the required directions.

Commands:
- New Maze: create a new maze in the same level
- Next Level: increase the complexity.




Changes
- Replaced the target with a cheese and the moving dot with a mouse icon.
- Added some text to show the current level.
- Initial level is lowered, so that kids could play it too.

Movement Detection

Don't Touch Me is pretty much the Windows Mobile version of a car alarm, an accelerometer-based alert tool that raises the alarm when movement is detected. All of which means that if someone picks up the phone when you've activated Don't Touch Me, they will get a nasty surprise! 

Although this is all good stuff, notice the hardware requirement – Don't Touch Me requires the accelerometer (also known as a g-sensor) hardware usually found in HTC Touch series phones to be active and working, as well as Microsoft's .NET Compact Framework 3.5 (available free from Microsoft) and Windows Mobile Pocket PC 5 , 6 or 6.1.

At just 43 KB, Don't Touch Me doesn't take up much space at all on any Windows Mobile device so if you have the hardware you should definitely give it a go. 


Easily Configurable

Once installed, Don't Touch Me can be easily configured by running the tool and going to Menu > Settings > Alarm. Here there are a wealth of available options, key among them the ability to set a particular WAV file to act as alarm (it won't use MP3 files) and the ability to define a deactivation code.

Sensitivity can also be tweaked, while certain applications can be launched when the alarm is set off – a perfect way to photograph would be phone thieves by setting your device mounted camera to activate and take photographs in the alarmed confusion...


Don't Touch Me is a must have Windows Mobile security application for any HTC Touch series handset.

It is a sad limitation of other manufacturers devices that they don't support or provide g-sensor/accelerometer technology, but with constant moves into this area it won't be long before the functionality comes as standard. Similarly it won't be long before phone manufacturers or networks provide software of this sort as standard.

A free download, Don't Touch Me could conceivably save your Windows Mobile device from unsuitable hands – definitely worth a try.

GL Maps - View your world in 3D - GSensor Enabled - Open Source!

So what happens, when you take the G - Sensor API, Managed OpenGL ES, a Tiled Map Client, and Seattle Metro Bus Web Service and mash it all into a single application? An accelerometer  controlled 3D map viewer with real time bus tracking of course. The level of awesomeness of this application is difficult to explain unless you have an HTC Touch Diamond to play with. I'll release a video shortly.

In addition, I've updated the Tiled Map Client code significantly to support multiple rendering engines (currently GDI and OpenGL ES). There's a minor breaking change for existing users, but quite a few new features have been added. I'll release that code after I finish bug fixing.
