Uostalom, simboli i motivi se menjaju svakim ''novim vremenom'' tako da su to klimave teorije.

Ruža je oduvek bila cenjena zbog svoje lepote a ima i dugu istoriju simbolike,stari Grci i Rimljani identifikovali su ruze sa svojim boginjama lepote Afroditom i Venerom.Rani hrišćani identifikovali su pet latica ruže s patnjama Hrista.Tetovaza ruže univerzalno predstavlja lepotu,strast i ljubav.Od svih tetovaža cvetova tetovaže ruže su i dalje najpopularnije i najtraženije tetovaže.Zanimljivo je da su u novije vreme tetovaze ruža postalaepoularne i kod muškaraca skoro podjednako kao i kod žena.Crvena ruža simbolizuje romantičnu ljubav , žuta ruža radost,bela poštovanje,roze ruža simbolizuje simpatiju i divljenje ,tetovaza narandžaste ruže entuzijazam i vedar duh a tetovaža crne ruže tamu i smrt ....
Ja sam htela ruzu u black&graj tehnici, sto znaci da bi me ljudi verovatno gledali kao sektasicu. Ne volim tetovaze u boji a nasla sam za sebe savrsen motiv sa ruzom i slovom.
