Crysis patch najavljen

Iz Cryteka nam stiže vest da je prvi patch za njihovu ultra popularnu pucačinu Crysis, u pripremi. Po rečima ljudi iz Cryteka, ako sve bude teklo po planu prvi patch bi trebao da izađe u januaru sledeće godine, i prvenstveno bi trebao da poboljša performanse u igri, iako ispravlja i nekoliko bugova(pročitajte trenutnu listu u nastavku teksta). Drugi patch, za koji se još uvek ne zna datum izlaska, bi trebao da donese potpunu podršku za modove u multyplayer i singleplayer režimu.

- Damage dealt to vehicles when shot by LAW has been made consistent
- F12 (screenshot) now works in restricted mode as well
- When player melees during gun raise animation, their gun will not be in a permanently raised position anymore

ArmA 1.09 Patch

Od Bohemia Interactive-a nam stiže novi patch (beta) za ArmA: Armed Assault, koji podiže verziju igre na 1.09. U toku update-a ovaj patch (22MB) napravi poseban beta folder i ikonicu preko koje ćete uključiti beta verziju. Patch možete preuzeti ovde , a changelog možete pogledati u nastavku teksta.
 

===1.09 HIGHLIGHTS - MAIN NEW IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES===

* significantly smoother gameplay on Northern part of Sahrani (up to 100% increase in frame rate depending on scene, video settings and graphics card)

* combat AI improvements

* voice over net and multiplayer related fixes and improvements

* new anti cheating methods in multiplayer (including optional www.BattlEye.com depending on server settings: if enabled, be server and be client dlls will be used and automatically updated to your computer)

* fixed compatibility problems caused by various copy protections used

* fog is rendered correctly on DX10 generation cards

* new scripting functions (string manipulation, multiplayer synchronization)

===KNOWN ISSUES===

* occasional BSOD in multiplayer using VOIP with some SoundBlaster cards (this problem was present also in all previous version of ArmA including 1.08 but due to limited use of VOIP it wasn't real issue). Known work around is to disable hardware acceleration in ArmA audio options.

A barrier was placed to rejected samples so that sample once rejected is not considered in any more computations.

O tome koliki uspeh je postigla Nintendova konzola Wii nema potrebe pričati. Iako po tehničkim karakteristikama zaostaje za konkurentima, na svojoj strani ima inovativnost i originalne igre koji odskaču od pukog pritiskanja dugmadi na gamepadu. Međutim, student računarskog inženjeringa i entuzijasta Johnny Chung Lee je to podigao na sasvim novi nivo. Pomoću Wii Remote-a, 2 IR lampice i malog programa je uspeo da simulira nešto što je blizu virtualnoj realnosti. Dok ostale 3D igre samo simuliraju treću dimenziju, njegova demonstracija prikazuje kako je izvodljivo da igre prate vaš pogled, tako da vaš televizor ili monitor postaju prozor u virtuelni svet. OK, nije najjasnije objašnjeno, ali će vam sledeći video pokazati o čemu se tačno radi. Ako ste raspoloženi za eksperimentisanje, a pritom imate Wii Remote, možete ovo isprobati i kod kuće - detalje projekta možete pročitati ovde.

C&C Red Alert: A Path Beyond v2.0

Izašla je nova verzija Red Alert: A Path Beyond modifikacije za Command & Conquer: Renegade. U pitanju je stand-alone mod koji igrača iz Tiberian Dawn priče prebacuje u Red Alert okruženje (uključujući i elemente iz expansion packova Aftermath i Counterstrike). O ovoj svakako interesantoj modifikaciji, koja je okrenuta online igranju, možete više saznati na oficijalnom sajtu, a verziju 2.0 možete skinuti sa sledećih linkova:

Od Ascarona nam stiže vest da je nastavak ovog RPG naslova ipak odložen. Novi datum izlaska je septembar sledeće godine, a kao razlog za odlaganje navode dodatno poliranje Xbox 360 i PC verzije igre. Potvrdili su i izlazak demoa, ali ipak ostaje dugi period čekanja. Nadajmo se da će ih pametno iskoristiti.

Izgleda da je i sam Nintendo potcenio uspeh njihove nove konzole Wii - od Amazona nam stiže podatak da trenutna prodaja iznosi čak 17 primeraka u sekundi (!). Tačnije, prodaja je toliko iznosila, jer su konzole rasprodate. Ako vam se ovo ne čini kao preveliki broj, prostim množenjem stižemo do cifre od 1.020 primeraka u jednoj minuti ili čak 10.200 za 10 minuta. Impresivno.

Crysis Tournament Map Pack izašao

U duhu praznika i tradicije poklanjanja, Crytek je izbacio besplatan komplet multiplayer mapa za njihov nanoviji FPS Crysis. Paket sadrži 5 mapa (Desolation, Crossroads, Training, Excavation i Terminal). Nekima od vas ovo možda zvuči poznato, jer je sličan paket bio svojevremeno izbačen i za Far Cry. Ako igrate ovaj naslov u multiplayeru, obavezno preuzmite ove nove mape sa ove lokacije (187 MB).

S2 Games, razvojni tim koji stoji iza ovog naslova, obaveštava nas da je nastavak RTS/FPS igre Savage ipak odložen na 16. januar sledeće godine. O ovom naslovu smo već pisali, tako da ćemo samo podsetiti da se radi o timskoj online igri u kojoj postoji mogućnost izgradnje baze, ali i klasičnog FPS napucavanja.

Egosoft se od danas može pohvaliti novim patchom, kojim podiže postojeću verziju X3: REUNION igre na v 2.5. Ovim osveženjem dodaje se novi "UPLINK objekat" koja omogućava izbacivanje fajla koji sadrži statistiku iz vaše igre, i koji se kasnije može uplodovati na Egosoft.com servere.
