Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Eidos su danas najavili novi naslov tima IO Interactive, poznatog po serijalu Hitman. Igra ce se zvati Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, bice to veoma nasilna akciona third person pucacina sa originalnim i brutalnim glavnim likovima, neuspešnim placenikom i psihopatom pod terapijom.

Kane & Lynch stižu na PC i Xbox 360 tokom 2007. godine.

Titan Quest Patch V 1.11

THQ su objavili patch za igru Titan Quest, koji ovaj akcioni RPG diže sa verzije 1.08 na 1.11. Patch je težak samo 5 megabajta i sadrži sledece izmene i ispravke:

General:
- Fixed NPC dialogue fading when bumped by pets
- Fixed crash when loading a custom map in-game that
contains a sheep herder
- Fixed a word wrap error in monster and NPC name
dialogs that appears in some languages
- Changed mouse input to swap left and right buttons
when the option is selected in Windows
- Implemented Time Smoothing to reduce hitches and
decrease blur when the player character is moving
- Implemented logging system to track crashes in Titan
Quest. Upon a crash, Titan Quest will create a log file
named "Exceptions.txt" in the My GamesTitan Quest
directory.

Video:
- Fixed crashes and graphical corruptions related to low
video memory on PCs
- Fixed a 'Fatal Error' message appearing when the
game is booting up after the update process on a
system with a Mobility Radeon 9200
- Improved video memory test to correctly identify 128
MB ATI Radeon x300 and ATI Mobility Radeon 9200
cards
- Fixed graphic elements becoming corrupted when
running NVIDIA® 6600 series card over a long period of
time
- Implemented Triple Buffering to allow smoother
gameplay and less blurring with V-Sync enabled.

To enable Triple Buffering, go to the My GamesTitan
QuestSettings directory and open the options.txt file
after changing any option in game. Find the setting
called "tripleBuffer" and change its value to true. If the
setting does not exist, add the line 'tripleBuffer=true' to
the end of the options.txt file. Note that enabling triple
buffering uses more Video memory, so you may have
to try it both ways to find the correct setting for your
system.
Multiplayer: - Fixed slow down in gameplay due to large amounts of
player chat
- Fixed items being lost in the trade window if the
server shuts down while the trade window is open

DarkStar One zvanično gold

CDV Software Entertainment USA je ponosan na to što je Severno Američka verzija igre DarkStar One konačno dostigla Gold status, odnosno spremna za umnožavanje. Igra je razvijena od strane razvojnog tima Ascaron.
Inače, DarkStar One postavlja igrača u ulogu mladog pilota Kayron Jarvis-a koji se trudi da reši misteriju smrti svog oca. Na putu do otkrovenja on nailazi na novu misteriju - brod po imenu The DarkStar One. Mnogi misle da će ova igra biti najbolja u svom žanru. Autori su obećali veoma ne-linearnu igru, odličnu priču i fenomenalnu grafiku. Za izlazak igre je najavljen 14. avgust ove godine.

Silent Heroes novi screenovi

Paradox Interactive je izbacio nove screenove za Silent Heroes, ekspanziju igre Soldiers: Heroes of World War II koju je trenutno moguće nabaviti samo u Rusiji i Poljskoj. Za razliku od originala, ova "stand-alone" ekspanzija će biti izbačena na svetsko tržište i to početkom septembra ove godine. Screenove možete videti ovde .

CALL OF JUAREZ SP DEMO

Stigao je single-player demo predstojece igre Call of Juarez. Demo je težak 536 megabajta i sadrži po jednu misiju za dvojicu protagonista.

Ubisoft su takodje objavili da ce Call of Juarez izaci i u verziji za next gen konzole, te ce izlazak igre biti odložen do 2007.

The Sims 2 pets

Electronic Arts su objavili da njihov studio Maxis trenutno rade na razvoju cetvrte ekspanzije The Sims 2 Pets koja ce u prodavnice stici do 17. Oktobra 2006.

Kao što samo ime govori, ova ekspanzija donosi kucne ljubimce u Sims svet. Osim cuvanja i igranja sa ljubimcima, moguce je manipulisati njihovim izgledom i osobinama.

The Battle for Middle earth II: The Rise of the Witch King

Electronic Arts su zvanicno najavili ekspanziju igre
The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II, sa radnim podnaslovom The Rise of the Witch-King.

Ova ekspanzija se bavi jednim od ratova opisanih u Tolkinovom Silmarilionu.
IGN su odradili intervju sa producentom Amirom Rahimom u vezi ove ekspanzije.

C&C 3 Tiberium wars info

Ekipa sa sajta PlanetCNC su objavili nove informacije o predstojecem RTS megahitu, naslovu Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars na kome radi razvojni tim Electronic Arts LA.

Informacije su pribavljene iz Julskog C&C podcasta:

#  Silos are IN, and you can steal enemy money out of them.
# 80% of the world's population lives in Yellow Zones
# Zone Troopers (possibly among other infantry units) aren't vulnerable to Tiberium fields, but others are.
# Red Zones have a lot of Tiberium, so expect higher-money battles with faster powering-up.
# Even totally farmed-out fields of Tiberium will eventually grow back, but you can't just expect to nurse your "starter" field through a whole match. Tiberium harvesting is faster in the begining of the match when there's a lot of it on the map.
# Nod plays the "good guys" (sorta) in the Yellow Zones, where they bring food etc. to the neglected poor folk who live there. Champions of the oppressed and all that, yadda yadda.

While there are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender -friendly groups that operate within massively multiplayer online games commonly referred to as MMOs, issues of sexual orientation take a backseat to slaying beasts or rival factions, researchers and gamers say. "If you come out in 'World of Warcraft' it doesn't matter. Who cares? You can be gay, straight, transgender. What matters is whether you can swing a sword," said Brathwaite. "It's pure MMO capitalism."
In an About.com poll taken last summer, nearly two- thirds of the 920 respondents said they play characters of the opposite sex in online role-playing games. Kathryn Wright, WomenGamers.com's consulting psychologist, earlier this decade found that 60 percent of male players who don female avatars, or on-screen personas, do it to gain an advantage in game play. An enthusiast with the online handle Jackpot649 nailed the Zeitgeist in his response to the About.com query: "I'm a guy, but if I gotta look at an avatar all day, I'd sooner look at a female avatar. Plus, people give you more free stuff."

Gamers, both male and female, say female avatars confirm what they already knew: Being a pretty girl has its perks. Female avatars are often the center of attention and showered with gifts such as swords or armor by other characters. They also, however, get unsolicited and sometimes condescending game play advice from the thousands of mostly male players who populate the MMO universe.
