FiringSquad su sproveli intervju sa glavnim dizajnerom studija Petroglyph, Chris Rubyorom u vezi predstojece real time strategije Empire at War: Forces of Corruption, ekspanzije za hit naslov Star Wars: Empire at War.

LucasArts ce izdati Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption tokom jeseni ove godine.

Xbox360 ipak bez DX10

Samo 2-3 dana nakon glasina da će Microsoft krajem godine izbaciti zakrpu koja ce omogućiti da Xenox, grafički čip Xbox360 da potera DirectX 10, danas su ćelni ljudi Kanadske kompanije demantovali to. Vec je bilo teško za poverovati ali danas je to rekao i potparol ATI-ja. Xbox360 ne može pokrenuti DX10. Crysis će podržati dx9 sa nekim dx10 osobinama. Najverovatnije se neke DX10 vizualne odlike mogu replicirati na Xbox360 ali se to nikako ne bi mogao nazvati dx10. Na kraju, igre će najverovatnije dosta slično izgledati kao DX10 igre koje će biti na PC-ju, ali i to je barem nešto.

Nitendo Wii cena za Evropu

Nitendo Wii će u Evropi koštati manje od 250 eura tj. manje od £170. U maju je Nitendo najavio da cena neće biti veća od 25.000 jena u Japanu odnosno 250$ u Americi. Sony-jeva konzola sa 20Gb hard diskom će koštati 499$, a verzija sa 60Gb 599$. Dok je cena Microsoftove XBox konzole 299$ u Americi.

Vivendi Games su najavili igru Scarface: The World is Yours za 8. Oktobar 2006. Ovaj akcioni naslov baziran na kultnom klasiku Briana DePalme sa Al Pacinom u glavnoj ulozi stiže u verzijama za PS2, Xbox i PC.

Ako igra bude bar upola tako dobra kao film, ocekuje nas pravi hit. Razvojni tim Radical Entertainment do sada je radio na igrama Simpsons: Hit & Run i The Hulk.

HALO 2 VISTA PC

Bungie.net su objavili prve screenshotove iz igre Halo 2, iskljucivo za PC opremljene Windows Vista operativnim sistemom.

Tu je i prvo javno prikazivanje ovog naslova portovanog sa Xbox konzole na Games Convention u Lajpcigu.

NEXT GEN KONZOLE SLABE ZA CRYSIS

Nemacki magazin Heise su odradili intervju sa Bernd Diemerom iz ekipe Crytek na ovogodišnjem GC sajmu u Lajpcigu. Sudeci po onome što je rekao, trebace nam ozbiljan upgrade PC konfiguracija, jer su cak i mocne next gen konzole ( koje se još nisu ni pojavile ) preslabe za ovu DirectX 10 "zverku".

"Crysis jednostavno zahteva DirectX 10, a to je nešto što samo Windows Vista može da pruži".

TITAN QUEST PATCH V1.15

THQ su objavili zakrpu v1.15 za njihov hit naslov Titan Quest. Patch je težak samo 5 megabajta i donosi sledece ispravke:

Fixed crash issues involving teleporting
- Fixed pathing crashes involved with entering and leaving underground areas
- Fixed crashes involving the Alt-Tab function
- Fixed crash issue which could occur when standing at the same coordinates as an item and attempting to pick it up
- Fixed a bug where items would occasionally fall through the world when they are dropped or unsuccessfully picked up
- Fixed a bug where storing manual character back-ups in the SaveData folder would cause those characters to not be visible on the character select screen
- Improved character auto back-up system
- Implemented texture reduction matrix which allows the low graphics settings to use more compressed textures and improves performance on low end systems
- Implemented the ability to turn shadows on and off. Shadows are currently on by default.
-To turn shadows off, go to the My GamesTitan
QuestSettings directory and open the options.txt file after changing any option in game. Find the setting called "Shadows" and change its value to false. If the setting does not exist, add the line "shadows=false" to the end of the options.txt file.
- Fixed the 'Fatal Error' message appearing when trying to boot up Titan Quest(tm) with Virtual Memory turned off
- Implemented a minidump file into the crash logging system
