When Ronaldo was presented as a Corinthians player last year, many doubted that Ronaldo would not have a positive impact on the club.  Well they were all wrong.  Ronaldo helped them win the Paulista Championship and Brazilian Cup even after all those injuries.
“The work was interrupted a few times, but anyway I have given much result, produced enough.  I had tendinitis in one knee, broke my hand into small pieces,” recalled Ronaldo.
Missing so many games through injury has made it difficult for Ronaldo to reach his full potential.  However, he still produced the results when he was on the pitch.  Ronaldo has already signed a deal to continue with the club in 2010 and rumours are that he will also be with the them in 2011.  Although, his priority now is to return to the Selecao, and he knows that it will depend on his performance in the Libertadores next year.
“My expectation to return to selection Brazil will depend a lot on my performance in the Paulista and Libertadores next year,” stated the Phenomenon.
The road to the World Cup for Ronaldo will not be easy, as he finds it difficult to shrug off the weight that he has gained over the years.  Although,  with Ronaldo you can expect everything, a player that has returned from so many career ending injuries should never be wirtten off.  Ronaldo has found a new passion for football and we will all expect to see him in South Africa next year.

RONALDO WANTS TO PLAY EVERY GAME UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON




Ronaldo has not been able to play regularly this season and this has caused him to fall short of his 30 goal target.  Ronaldo set this target before the start of the season and was looking to surpass this 30 goal mark until inujry sidelined him throughout the season.
“I am far from the goal of goals set earlier this year, but I also got two months off.  I’m hoping to play the eight remaining matches to get into a rhythm and score a few more goals,” said Ronaldo.

RONALDO ADMITS THAT THE WHOLE TEAM NEEDS TO DO MORE



The Corinthians lost against Cruzeiro last night, making it two consecutive losses. Since the departure of Andre Santos and Douglas the team has not been the same and the new signings have not made a positive impact on the team.
“A team is not done from night to day,” said Ronaldo. Referring to the fact that the team has changed since the start of the season and that it will take time for things to improve.
“We have to rethink and deal with these situations. Today was a great example. We had one more player and we still lost the game. We have to take more risk going into the game, know when to push. We weren’t doing anything,” said a frustrated Ronaldo.
Despite the criticism, Ronaldo did not only blame his team but also admitted that he needs to do more himself.
“It would be unfait to my teammates as I am part of the group as well. I’m not doing my part so the ball is not coming,” added Ronaldo.

Ronaldo Lima Sues Ex-Wife…. Escândalo!



They’re such an adorable family so it makes us sad to learn that Ronaldo has filed a lawsuit against his former wife (and probably the best one – she was a futebolista after all), Milene Domingues. The suit alleges that his oldest son, Ronald has been ‘inadequately taken care of’ under her and Ronaldo is also demanding a review of the custody.

Milene current resides in Madrid and Ronald plays for a youth team there. “I am very sad because in the end what we are discussing is only in the interest of our child ; as far as I’m concerned, I’ve been (taking care of him) because they’ve been separated from for many years,” she said. Milene’s recent break up with footballer David Aganzo (Rayo Vallecano striker) has also left her down in the dumps but she has found support, surprisingly in Madrid’s latest Power Couple, Kaka and Caroline. “They’re two great friends who have great support for me. There was a time when I was tempted to return to (Brazil). Although I have many friends here, I miss my family because I see them only twice a year. But eventually I will stay in Spain,” she said.
