"Primetech contacts for UIQ 3.x" is designed to work with a list of contacts using  fingers instead of stylus. Also supported search using the keyboard, scrolling wheel and flip-mod.
System Capabilities:

[Upd] Linkboy 1.4 for UIQ 3.x

CellPhoneSoft have released a new version of LinkBoy - 1.40. This version has improved appearance, behavior, services and stability. The overall usability of the application has been substantially improved. In case you don't know, Linkboy:

Pdf+ for UIQ 3 v1.75

mBrainSoftware has just released an important upgrade to Pdf+ for UIQ 3. It now has Chinese and Japanese reading capability and two versions are available, Pdf+ Basic and Pdf+ Standard. Oh... and for those with Pdf+ inside the ROM on devices such as the Sony Ericsson P990, P1i and M600, there's also a ROM upgrade for free. Full press release and details below.

Leiden, The Netherlands – Today, mBrain Software has released version 1.75 of Pdf+ (for UIQ 3.x smartphones), the leading PDF reader for Symbian smartphones.

Pdf+ (for UIQ 3.x smartphones) is available in two editions, Pdf+ Basic and Pdf+ Standard.

Pdf+ Basic offers basic functionality. Users can view all pages, go to any page, search for strings, set the zoom level, full screen and landscape mode and reflow the text. Chinese and Japanese PDF files are fully supported. Email attachments and PDF files downloaded from the Web can be read as well.

Pdf+ Standard offers in addition bookmark support, following of links, opening of websites, sending Emails and dialing phone numbers. Full support for password-protected PDF files is available in this version too.

It is possible to upgrade from Pdf+ Basic to Pdf+ Standard, by installing Pdf+ Standard Upgrade.

All editions of Pdf+ support shortcuts for quick access to often-used commands.

For owners of the SonyEricsson UIQ 3.x smartphones with Pdf+ in ROM, such as the P990, the M600 and the P1, a special, and free, distribution is available that will install Pdf+ Standard on their device.

When the cellphone is lost or left somewhere, or the SIM card is replalced, the keyboard could be locked automatically or by sending SMS to make it invalid for the others. The important addressbook and SMS could also be obtained back by sending SMS.


It has the following functions:

1 Warning
Only by inputting the password could make the locked cellphone unlocked. Neither by rebooting nor replacing the SIM card can unlock

2 System Options
a.Auto-Run: The auto-running of App or not when the system reboots. Tip: When this option is not selected, the keyboard would not be locked if SIM card is replaced.

3 SMS command Define SMS command,Lock the keyboard by sending SMS to obtain address book and messages.
a.Obtain all numbers: Obtain all numbers from the address book.
b.Locked-Keyboard: The keyboard will be locked.
d.Obtain SMS by number: Obtain all messages sending by the number. The '+' should be inserted between SMS command and number.
e.Obtain all SMS: Obtain all messages from the inbox.
f.Obtain log: Obtain one log by index of logs. The '+' should be inserted between SMS command and the index of logs.
g.Obtain all command: Obtain all commands above.

Activity Details Display Industry first!

Entry details are displayed on a translucent popup while scrolling through the calendar. Full details are displayed including the entry title, times, any attendees and alarm details including repeated alarms. From the settings menu you can set how long you wish the details to pop-up on screen, or you can switch auto pop-up off, and activity details will only be displayed when you choose to view them.

Attendee Role and Status

Each attendee can be assigned a role and a status, and they can be edited easily by using the attendee dialog. Multiple contacts can be added to a single entry, each with their own role and status for the entry.

Allows information to be undone or redone during editing as many times as you wish without the risk of losing data or the need to re-enter data.

Multiple Categories Per Entry

Assign more than one category to an activity, just like in the real world. New categories can be easily created and edited.

These guys from CellphoneSoft always impress me with their excellent products. Looking at their latest roster, they announce new stuff or updates almost once in a month. Today, they announce Bunch Launch (quite mouthful, but rhymes nicely), an application that can start several applications at once to bring the phone to a desired state. For example, you want to listen to music while browsing the internet at the same time and you need to have Web and Music player opened. Bunch Launch will do that for you.
