Sony Ericsson plans music-focused event for the 21st, shrouded in mystery



"Put your ears in control." That's the best clue we've got about the stuff Sony Ericsson plans on showing next Monday, when it'll be holding a webcast at 11:00AM GMT+1 to "see how the way you listen to music changes forever." Given that PlayNow Plus is still a big up-and-coming push for the company, the announcement could be entirely software and service related -- but we know we've got some Android goods in the pipe that that need to get shown at some point, and let's be honest, there's always room for another miscellaneous Walkman-branded phone or two in the lineup. We''ll know what's what soon enough.

Yesterday, I had posted that Sony Ericsson is going to “Change The Way We Listen To Music”. Now, via twitter, Eldar Murtazin has leaked that the supposedly ground-breaking new innovation is a headset(Though I was hoping for a Phone)  that automatically starts the music/radio as soon as you wear it. A novel idea though not something that I think will be able to reach mass popularity since am guessing the the headset will not come cheap.

But as any new innovation, we will keep a close eye on this new product and bring as much info on it when its released.

We've got the first live shot of SE XPERIA X3 (Rachael)



After several leaked “official” Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 images and even a video demonstrating how its UI should look like, now we have something even more tempting – the first live shot of the device.

The first Android-powered device by Sony Ericsson was first spotted 3 months ago. A few days later we saw its user interface caught on video and now we have its first pic shot in the wild.

We admit, the image might be on the small side and of rather low quality but it's the long awaited sign that the official announce of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 is getting closer.

All the fuss around the XPERIA X3 (which you might also know as Rachael) is not only because of its hot looks but also because of what's hiding underneath.

The device will run Android OS and comes with the superfast Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz CPU. Reportedly, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 will feature HSDPA and Wi-Fi support as well as an integrated GPS receiver.

Also aboard are expected to be a large 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display of 852 x 480 pixels resolution and an 8 megapixel autofocus sharpshooter. We look forward to seeing more of the XPERIA X3 live, so if you've got one lying around, snap a pic for us and send it over, please!
