Limitations:
- conduits are not supported
- "hacks" (using the HackMaster API) not supported
- direct manipulation of Motorola 68000 hardware registers is not supported. Therefore programs that control things like sound or serial I/O by directly accessing the hardware rather than using the software API will not work properly. However, direct screen writes ARE supported.

KeePass V0.4.8 - secure password manager for PocketPC



Keepass has a PC application , 2 Windows mobile application ( KeePassSD [ppc and smartphone] & KeePassPPC [ pocketpc only] ) and a Java application. The applications are opensource so u can get the source and play around with it to bend it to your needs.

So whats KeePass and why do you need it?

Today you need to remember many passwords. GSlide, “Generic Slide”, is simply a explorer with a kinetic slider interface.

From version 0.3 the concept of Actions is added to GSlide. Actions are external scripts which can be run to do pretty much anything you want.To install just drop the folder into your Programs folder. It works wherever you place it, but the developer have set up some example shortcuts with command line arguments which assume that you put it at the default location.

Handy Weather - Weather application for Windows Mobile



Most of the new devices comes with a weather application by default, but if you want more detailed analysis and information regarding the weather pattern you have to look for other alternatives. Today we are going to look @ Handy Weather from penreader.com.

Handy Weather once installed places a Today Screen plugin which displays the current weather conditions and the forecast for the next four days. The today plugin look neat and professional and the state of the weather is displayed by some nice icons the temperature is also displayed. The weather information is obtained from Intellicast ( one of the most trusted weather source )

Clicking on the today plugin takes you to the main application. Where the weather for the next 7 days are listed. Upon choosing a day the detailed weather screen comes up. This screen has got all the goodies relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction and speed.

Most of the weather applications, some of which are free has got these features so whats makes this one special ? Thats where the forecast maps : satellite, surface analysis and temperature comes in. Though this is not some thing that everyday users might require, this would be a great feature for the more adventurous type who needs to keep a close watch on the weather.

What can be improved in the next update :

    * Animated live radar images and maps.
    * Notifications of severe weather alerts ( I didnt find any options related to this so I am assuming this feature is not present @ the moment ).
