Fox Soccer has launched an iPhone app to follow the FIFA World Cup 2010 when you're on the go.

Fox Soccer Channel’s Ticket to South Africa presented by Audi is your one-stop guide to the world’s greatest stage. Follow all 32 countries with up to the minute scores, news, standings, photos, videos, schedules, and city information.

Yes! eBoy's FixPix iPhone game is now available in the App Store and it looks fantastic. It's gonna cost you two bucks and plenty of time.



The idea of the game is simple: You use tilt your iPhone back and forth until the cut-out portions of an image line up with everything else. Simple, but oh-so-fun.

What's New in Version 1.1

MTV News brings you unprecedented access to the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.

Ever wanted to see how a red carpet experience at a big event gets put together? Starting Thursday, June 3, check out a LIVE streaming video camera 24/7 positioned above the red carpet and watch as the spectacle gets built.

On the night of the show on Sunday, June 6, users can choose between 7 LIVE streaming video cameras positoned all around the event, from the red carpet itself to backstage at the show to the private outdoor patio where you may catch some of your favorite celebrities hanging out. You never who or what you may see!

If that's not enough, you'll also find a huge variety of on-demand video clips of all the Movie Awards action before, during and after the event.

Google Googles officially coming to iPhone



Google has confirmed that their image recognition application, Google Goggles will be available for the iPhone soon. Available on Android devices running version 1.6 and up at this point, the debut of an official iPhone version of Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Goggles would certainly give the visual search application a much wider reach.

The iPhone currently has a similar application, called oMoby. It does its job rather well, but it’s slow. My tests with oMoby on the iPhone 3G worked, but took over a minute for almost every search conducted. One of which was a bag of M&Ms. Results from the Goggles app on a MyTouch 3G were instant, and actually recognized that that the picture was of peanut M&Ms, whereas oMoby just picked up the M&Ms logo. Not bad, but as Goggles demonstrates, there’s room for improvement. With an alternative coming down the pipes with much added functionality and “snappiness”, the developers of oMoby need to hurry up, or maybe just give up.

Google Goggles was updated not too long ago to support text recognition, and translating text from another language. Tests of this feature are not the best, and I have yet to get a piece of text fully translated correctly. This will surely change with updates, and for now, you can always use Google Translate.

While possible, it’s unlikely that Goggles will get the same treatment that Google Voice received from Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s App Store.  There’s nothing duplicating functionality, as the iPhone does not have anything similar enough for the application to face such issues.

Google now packages the visual search app in their updates, starting with Android 2.1 OS. It will be interesting to compare the usage for Goggles between the two platforms.

Let’s hope Goggles makes it to the iPhone soon, it’s a great application, and fun to use! Any of you iPhone users ready to get your Goggles on?

PlanetOne, the 2D Platform game that was inspired by the early great plumber and hedgehog games. You must take the little blue man through 22 unique levels, defeating 4 bosses while collecting keys in each area to open gates. Your goal is to take back the 'Maya" (The life force of your planet), which was taken from your people. But its not just a walk in the park, there are a bunch of different baddies trying to stop you and you are under the clock. Don't get the "Maya" fast enough and you must try again.

You can choose to play the level on an easy time limit or if your an expert gamer attempt it with the hard time limit. But which ever you choose your fastest time will be remembered so you can also try to beat your own best or your friends best time.

And to make all of your efforts meaningful, PlanetOne uses OpenFeint for its world Leaderboards, so you can see how you rank against all the players, both with your score and your times.

Now this sounds like a great game as is, but there is an added touch with a hidden Gem in each level. If you find these hidden gems you will get OpenFeint Achievement Points. Some gems are easy to find and some will puzzle you on where they could be.

Vuvuzela Horns iPhone App Won't Get Banned, But Will Be Annoying



This app's been available for a month now, but I'm willing to bet few of you had heard of the darned vuvuzela horns before the weekend just gone. If FIFA actually bans them, here's your free app replacement.
The app description promises to "annoy everyone in sight, in the pub, wherever...whilst watching your favorite football team etc getting thrashed." It's free, and has iPad support for double the irritation.
