Layar now adding layers of augmented reality to iPhone



Since your Android handset-owning friends and colleagues can't have all the phone, Layar has finally made the leap to iPhone. It's now available in the iTunes app store for the enticing price of nada, with its own third-party ecosystem to boot -- only iPhone 3GS customers need apply, though, since without the magnetometer this is kind of a wash. We've only spent a few minutes with the new version, but it seems like much of our initial impressions from August seem to hold true, for better and for worse. But don't take our word for it, download away!

Photoshop za iPhone i iPod Touch (VIDEO)



Najpoznatiji program za obradu fotografija Photoshop, proizvod kompanije Adobe, od sada je besplatno dostupan i na iPhone i iPod Touch uređajima kompanije Apple.

Aplikacija, koja je napravljena isključivo za mobilne telefone, dostupna je na engleskom jeziku i sadrži osnovne funkcije koje ovaj program nudi.

Ono što korisnici ovog programa mogu da urade jeste rotiranje i redimenzioniranje fotografija, kao i primenjivanje filtera i vizuelnih efekata sa unapred utvrđenim parametrima.



Korisnici ove verzije Photoshopa moćiće da retuširaju i objavljuju fotografije, a omogućen im je i pristup usluzi za online skladištenje fotografija kao i dva gigabajta skladišnog prostora.

Mozilla App Coming Soon to iPhone



Following a recent interview, Mozilla CEO John Lilly let slip that “Mozilla will release an app to the iPhone App Store in the next few weeks. … It’ll surprise people.” Further prodding revealed that both the AwesomeBar and Weave (which let you access cloud-stored bookmarks and history, much like Opera Link) will be a part of the picture. After a bit of wrestling, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) began allowing third-party web browsers into the App Store last January, but the big worry, of course, is that they’ll see Firefox as too much competition with the iPhone’s native Safari browser and not allow it.

If that were the case, Mozilla would likely see it coming a mile away and could be creating something other than a browser for the iPhone. Perhaps some kind of third-party bookmark sync? Maybe Apple let them create a plug-in engine for Safari? It’s hard to tell, but we should be finding out “in the next few weeks”. The Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N900 is currently rocking flash-enabled web browsing thanks to Mozilla, and they’ve already announced their intentions for Windows Mobile and Android with Fennec, but iPhone is a juicy market segment that would significantly expand Firefox’s reach. iPhone app: 3G Unrestrictor allows you to use WIFI apps on 3G / Edge network



3G Unrestrictor for the iPhone allows you to go around the iPhone’s limitations and restrictions like not being able to use Skype or SlingPlayer while on a mobile internet connection like 3G or EDGE as well as many other things.  It allows those things by tricking applications into believing they are on WiFi, even though they are on 3G or EDGE.

Features:

    * It allows you for example while on 3G/EDGE/GRPS:
    * Make free calls using VoIP software like Skype, iSip, Truphone and other applications
    * Watch TV with SlingPlayer
    * Watch high quality YouTube videos, just like on WiFi
    * Download apps bigger than 10MB from the AppStore
    * Download music, TV shows and podcasts bigger than 10MB from the iTunes Store

Developers were forced to put those restrictions in by Apple, but 3G Unrestrictor makes those apps “think” they are on a WiFi connection so that you can do all those things.

It works on all iPhone models: The iPhone 2G, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS. You need firmware 3.0 or higher to be able to install 3G Unrestrictor.

Fling for iPhone is Fun, Fun, Fun!



One of the most downloaded games for the past few days now, Fling is a unique puzzle game that I really get a kick out of. The object of the game is to clear the board of the fuzzy furballs by flicking them with your finger. However, it’s not as easy as it seems. You must ‘fling’ the furballs into one another, you can’t simply fling them off the board. Plus, if a furball is adjacent to another, you can’t fling them into one another. Make sense? Try out the free version (iTunes link) and you’ll get it, trust me.

Each puzzle has a single solution, and apparently the full version of the game features over 10,000 puzzles. Crazy! Play the game in ‘free-play’, which lets you play at your own pace and keep track of stats… There’s also an ‘arcade’ mode which pits you against the clock… Finally there’s a ‘challenge’ mode that makes you solve sets of puzzles within a certain amount of time, all the while trying to beat personal best times. Lots of game play options, lots of fun!
