Nokia E66 and Nokia E71 confirmed!?
 


Over the last few months there has been a lot of speculation, rumors and a lot of blurry photos flying around regarding to upcoming Nokia's Eseries devices and now thanks to the new UAP's on the Nokia NDS site I can clearly say that both device are officially confirmed now.

Nokia have added bunch of user agent profiles to their website including ones for the rumored but yet unannounced Eseries devices, Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 models that are also known as Dora and Liam.

UAProf (User agent profile) is an XML document that contains information about the user agent type and device capabilities. It is a standard defined and maintained by the Open Mobile Alliance (formerly the WAP Forum) and it clearly confirms that Nokia will release those device very soon.

User agent profiles reveals that both devices are based on the S60 3rd Edition (3.1) and on Symbian OS 9.2. Both phone also features the disappointing QVGA screen (N71 in landscape orientation). Both phones also supports wide range of the connectivity options inclouding Wi-Fi, GPRS; EDGE; UMTS and HSDPA. Furthermore both devices are equipped with the 3.2 megapixels CMOS sensors with maximum image resolution of 2048 x 1536 px.

Nokia E71 to be announced tomorrow?



A rumor on the street is that the Finnish giant will be announcing its long awaited E71 smartphone tomorrow. The upcoming device builds on top of its predecessors, the E61/E61i models, and has everything the mentioned two smartphones lacked. Aside from the full QWERTY-keyboard, there's a built-in GPS, better 3.2 megapixels camera, more available RAM, smaller form factor, and the new version of Symbian S60 (3.2). In short, this is one device to look forward to. As a matter of fact, I would call it the best Nokia smartphone — it combines all the multimedia features of the Symbian/S60 platform with business friendly look and feel in a small package.

Let's hope the blogosphere knows what it's talking about and that tomorrow will see the E71 hitting Nokia's press pages. Stay tuned…

Ma ja sam "tuned" već 3 mjeseca. 
'Ajd do sutra se može čekati, da vidimo na šta će to ličiti i koliko parinja treba ostviti u novčaniku za E71. 

Ovo bi trebao da bude pravi naslijednik E61 pošto E61i je bila samo malo dorađena verzija istog telefona. Ovaj E71 bi trebalo da ima dosta promjena i "ispod haube" a ne samo kozmetičke prirode...
Pitanje je samo šta su mu zeznuli?? Dal' će to biti baterija ili ekran ili nešto treće, ostaje da se vidi?!

Manja tastatura i manji ekran(2.4") od e61/e61i su sigurno mane, videćemo šta još...

uf! e61i sam drzao u rukama i bilo mi tesko da se odvojim od njega  ... ovo su jako doobri telefoni!
al' ja cekam X1, mozda bih i ovo uzeo... za neke 2,3 godine!

Nokia E66 and E71 live and in the wild!



Following up on those rather low-quality spy shots of the upcoming Nokia business phones - the Nokia E66 and E71 - it looks like Espoo's let their newest cats out of their bags. The Nokia E66 and Nokia E71 are set to take Nokia's enterprise handset portfolio to new levels.

As expected, both business-oriented handsets rock 3.2 megapixel shooters and 128MB of memory. Thankfully, that chromed-out bezel that we saw in previous Nokia E66 and Nokia E71 photos has been muted with a more business-friendly black finish. Word has it that the slide mechanism on the Nokia E66 has a solid feel - indicating that Nokia took what it learned from the Nokia N95's slide mechanism complaints and applied it to the Nokia E66 (not to mention the Nokia N96).

Now, we just wait for Nokia to get official with the Nokia E66 and Nokia E71. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long.

ten minutes hand-on video with the Nokia N96



Ok seriously, we want it. Italian mobile site Cellulare-Magazine managed to get their hands on the N96 and popped a sweet 10-minute hands-on video up on YouTube. This thing gets sexier every time we see it. Solid build, smooth lines, sleek case and form factor; it’s all good. Cellulare-Magazine does a pretty good job touring this prototype and it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re interested in seeing where Nokia flagship devices are headed. They left some cool stuff out of the video however, such as showcasing the dedicated multimedia keys that illuminate to the left of the screen when a media player is accessed. Rotate the device 180 degrees and open N-gage (or "N-gadget" as the narrator says) and gaming buttons are illuminated giving the N96 a classic "dpad on the left, buttons on the right" gaming configuration. The narrator also mentions that the handset includes tri-band UMTS with US-compatible frequencies, but then lists only European frequencies so we’re still a bit unclear in that department. Either way, that 950 mAh battery is going to last about 45 minutes if you plan to make solid use of UMTS. Hey, that’s why Proporta makes battery packswe suppose…
