HTC Legend not a legend anymore

As we promised, we bring you more info on HTC Legend. In fact, we present you exclusive crystal clear image of the upcoming Android phone from HTC. We suppose it will replace Hero, considering the dimensions, screen size and specs. Besides the AMOLED HVGA screen (16 million colors) it features optical mouse (or should we say optical trackpoint?). Legend will probably be announced in Barcelona (World Mobile Congress 2010) and hit the streets (or mobile operators) in march 2010. It certainly does resemble the Hero, but Legend will have metallic frame and will also feature updated versions of HTC People and Footprints. Let's not forget LED flash, something the Hero really misses, and a 600MHz processor. Green bottom is probably going to change… What do you thing on Legend vs Bravo ? Will you even consider HVGA after WVGA and Bravo appear ?

HTC Nexus One Google Phone Images Revealed

The guys over at Engadget have managed to get their hands on the rumored 'Google Phone'. Manufactured by HTC, the Nexus One handset features a large capacitive touchscreen display, along with a number of touch sensitive buttons on the front of the handset, and trackball.



The handset also includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, and a 5 mega-pixel camera with flash.

The Nexus One Google Phone is also powered by Android 2.1, and we can see some evidence of the new Android software in some of the images. The handset doesn't feature HTC's SenseUI, nor is there any HTC related branding, which suggests that the handset will be released as the Google Phone.

Nexus One specs leaked, retail sales may be 'invite-only' intially



We've seen tons of pictures and a few unofficial specs for the Nexus One trickle out of the past couple of weeks, but the folks at Engadget have found the mother lode. They've also gotten word that the Nexus one will be sold starting Jan. 5, albet on an invite-only basis at first, which they're guessing will be developers. A full T-Mobile retail launch is still in the cards, though, it's just that nobody knows when. Hit the break for the rest of the specs.

Gee. I wonder what Google could possibly be announcing on the day we expect the Nexus One to officially become official. And right as CES begins, no less. It's gonna be along week. [via Engadget]

General Mobile Intros Android COSMOS



The guys who brought forward the first dual-SIM Android handset have another in the wings, called COSMOS. A 5 megapixel camera, 3.2” HVGA display, 128 MB of memory, OS 2.0, and a tailor-built Android app market round out the device, but odds of seeing it anywhere other than China are slim. There’s no sign of other information on General Mobile’s site, but will likely pop up soon.

Google’s Nexus One Official



After many leaks and hands-on’s the Nexus One has just been officially released by Google a few minutes back. Unvieled by Peter Chou, CEO of HTC and head in the creation of the Nexus One’s hardware the superphone(as its called by google) is what the leaks predicted:

    - The specs match previous leaks. It’s a 3.7? AMOLED display with a trackball.

    - It comes with features such as a light sensor, GPS, and accelerometer. These are all features pioneered by Apple’s iPhone.

    - It’s 130 grams in weight and 11.5 mm in width, about the width of a standard #2 pencil.

    - The camera is 5MP with LED flash.

    - The audio has received an upgrade. It has two microphones, one of which is used for noise cancellation.

    - Customization is a key to the Nexus One. There are five home screens to cusotmize your interface.

    - Google showed off some of its dynamic touchscreen features of the software.. For example, one of the wallpapers is a lake with leaves. When you touch it, it will ripple. It’s quite nifty, actually.

    - They worked with the team at CoolIris to visualize photons on the Nexus One in a 3D environment. If you tap on an album, you’ll be able to quickly scan and load photos. You can also tip and dip photos based on your hand motions and the accelerometer.

As you can see from the above picture, Google is comparing the device to a pencil even though the phone isn’t ground-breakingly thin.
