Bilo bi dobro kad bi bili sadrzani svi modovi kernela i da podrazumevani moze da radi na 850MHz max a da rucno mozemo da mu ogranicimo ako zeliko da bude manji takt. Takodje, voleo bih kada bi bili ukljuceni wifi drajveri koji podrzavaju packet injection. Jedva cekam da izadje stabilna verzija

MeeGo on the N900 officially targeted by Nokia

Exciting news. Jukka Eklund, Product Manager at Nokia, just announced that Nokia will be officially directing efforts towards supporting MeeGo on the N900 as Developer Edition.  For this purpose, there would be a dedicated team within Nokia who will bring full MeeGo support on the N900.

Up to now, getting MeeGo up and running on the N900, was done by the N900 Hardware Adaption team, whose progress has been slow and steady. But now with the support from Nokia, this should change very quickly. The Developer Edition effort will build upon the outstanding work of the N900 Hardware Adaptation team and bring it to point where it is “really usable as your developement device” with some key features running in “perfect” condition. And the most notable point about this effort is that it is going to be done in the open and documented on the wiki.

This should be great news to all who have been waiting patiently for a fully functional and usable version of MeeGo on the N900. If you can help, jump in!

SMS Faker  by  John Goldsworthy

With SMS Faker you can create one or more fake SMS messages which will appear in your Outbox and will look like normal sent text messages. They never leave your phone. If you forgot to send an important message to your boss, quickly create it using SMS Faker, show it to him and blame it on the mobile network :-)

In the application you enter the "recipients" email number, the text of the message and the time at which the SMS was "sent" (number of minutes).

In the latest version you can also create fake "incoming" messages which will appear in the Inbox.

SaveCPU works in the background and controls the temperature through the bq27200 module. If you overclock your N900, this tool can be used to protect
your device from overheating - after certain temperature has been reached, it will warn you and reduce the overclocking.

You can set the activation temperature, control delay in minutes and warning LED colour.

Nokia N900 after CSSU update

Nokia's new font. Successor of Nokia Sans.

Nokia has recently changed their typeface to be used in their promotional materials and new devices. Olli Laasonen has packaged this new font for easy installation on the N900.



You may need to restart your Maemo device before the fonts will show up in your available fonts list.

It lets you use your N900 to stream video from either video0 or video1 (back or front camera) to your Windows PC, using it as a webcam.

It is compatible with most programs, Skype, MSN, etc.
