Sunderland star admits heart lies elsewhere!!!

Sunderland new boy Ian Harte has admitted that he still has a soft spot for former club Leeds United.

Harte told the Sunderland Echo: "After playing with Leeds for so long, I still have a strong feeling for the club. There are few people left who were there with me, but I keep an eye on what's going on.
"They've done really well this season. They scored in the 89th or 90th minute last weekend to beat Yeovil and hopefully they can keep on doing well and bounce back into the Championship.
"They've done brilliantly to get those 15 points back and if they had started on zero, they would have been about nine points clear at the top now."

Gotivim Sunderland iskljucivo zbog Keane-a... Ali bih voleo da sledece sezone Harte igra za Leeds... Ulazak u Premier ligu bi u tom slucaju bio lak.. A to je ono sto se ceka..

Ja mislim da je Harte sledece godine u Leeds-u ralna opcija.Secam se dok je Leeds igrao u Premier ligi i da je komentator citirao jednu izjavu Harte-a glasila je nesto ovako "Samo jedna stvar moze da mi slomi srce a to ja da odem iz Leeds-a"

Hart je jedini pokazao da voli klub... Svi ostali su voleli premijer ligu... Od one generacije koja me je naterala da se zaljubim u lids, samo je on ostao u klubu...

According to Wednesday's Sun newspaper, Radio One DJ Chris Moyles begged Madonna to buy his beloved Leeds United.

Motormouth DJ Chris Moyles apparently begged Madonna to buy Leeds United, the Sun revealed yesterday.

Like most Leeds fans, Moyles was obviously worried that his beloved club would cease to exist following the summer of financial turmoil after the club went into administration last May. The self-proclaimed "saviour of Radio One" obviously fancied himself as the messiah of something

However it appears that the Ken Bates regime have ridden the financial storm, albeit at a cost of the 15-point deduction which Ken has vowed to fight-on to get reinstated.

Bates is apparently keen to invite investors on board, last month it was doing the rounds that Freddie Shepard was preparing to put money into Leeds, after Bates was spotted enjoying lunch with the ex-Newcastle chairman.

Whether or not the "Material Girl" would be interested in investing in "soccer" and diverting her attention from Kaballah-wotsit remains to be seen. Her husband Guy Ritchie was reportedly a Leeds fan in the days when we were doing well in the Champions League. He probably now follows Chelsea, like all the other "celebrity" Leeds fans who came crawling out of the closet seven or eight years ago!

KANDOL SIGNS

Striker Tresor Kandol has signed a new contract with the club.

The former Barnet marksman has agreed a revised deal which will now run until the summer of 2011.

The 26-year-old, who has scored five goals already this term, was previously contracted until 2010.

But boss Dennis Wise said a new contract was just reward for the player's efforts, and Tres follows Jermaine Beckford in putting pen to paper on improved, extended contracts.

Youngsters Ben Parker, Rob Bayly, Scott Gardner, and Jonny Howson also agreed new deals last week.

United chairman Ken Bates told Yorkshire Radio: "Dennis targeted six players for new contracts and he works on the principle that if they are worth it you offer them a new contract before the ask.

"Tresor was the last and now we've got the boys lined up were he wants them with something that is fair to them and affordable to us.

"It's encouraging for the youngsters that they are being rewarded for their progress and hopefully it will encourage them to do even better."
