Leeds have signed midfielder Radostin Kishishev from Charlton on loan until the end of the month.

The 32-year-old Bulgarian, who has been capped 59 times by his country, has spent seven years at the Valley.

He has made 18 appearances for Alan Pardew's side this season but has not featured since the 1-0 win over Portsmouth on January 20.

Kishishev will hope to help Dennis Wise's side move off the foot of the Championship table.

Nicholls joined Leeds from the Hatters in the summer in a £700,000 deal, and was made captain when Wise took over.

However, he has now asked to leave and Wise admitted: "I'm gobsmacked that he wants to go back to Luton.

"I wasn't interested at all in letting him go but he has made his mind up. He feels he made a mistake joining us."

Leeds are currently bottom of the Championship and five points adrift of safety - and Luton who lie in 20th place.

And Wise added: "I'm very disappointed in him, they're a team fighting us for relegation. I asked whether it was me and Gus that was the problem, he said 'no'.

Striker David Healy visited the White Rose Centre on Tuesday afternoon and was quick to hand a vote of thanks to the club's supporters.

Dave was joined by Jonathan Douglas and Ian Moore at Sainsbury's for the latest Coca-Cola Buy A Player promotion, and the trio were keen to thank the fans for their backing on and off the field.

"It was nice to see the general public coming to see the players," said Dave.

"I know we're not doing well, but it's nice to see parents and kids, it's nice to sign jerseys and talk to people, and it's great to see people supporting the club.

"They've supported us all year on the pitch and off, and I'd urge the fans to keep supporting the players, and keep supporting Coca-Cola and help gets us a player next season."

Another big crowd is expected for Saturday's Elland Road clash with Luton Town, and the Northern Ireland international says the fans deserve more for their efforts.
"They've tried to help us all through the season and we have to help them," he said.

"The crowd against QPR a few weeks ago inspired the boys, but we didn't get the right result.

"Hopefully with the attitude and determination to win the game we'll get the result on Saturday."

United go into the Luton game on the back of a 3-2 reverse at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday, with two of the visitors three goals coming from stunning strikes.

"They were very good goals, but that happens," added Dave.

"Maybe we haven't had the lucky breaks we deserve, but the lucky thing is we have 10 games left to get out of this situation and we'll be trying our best to get out of it."

Leeds have signed central defender Lubomir Michalik from Bolton on a month's loan.

The 23-year-old is a Slovakian international and scored on his full debut for his country.

Michalik signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Bolton in January but has not yet made a Premiership start for Sam Allardyce's side.

Michalik is expected to go straight into the squad for Leeds match on Saturday against Luton.
