Does anyone know of any Apps which will free up phone memory on the fly on the painfully slow 6680. I've had problems loading Tomtom and realised that there wasn't enough free memory to load the programme. Was using the Pull out MMC card and put back in method to free memory up until i found a better solution (see below)

I used Appman utility to monitor the free memory, and if its less than say 5.8MB, Tomtom doesn't want to know. So i've been using the Compress Memory option on Appman to fix this, but when not using Tomtom, the phone memory seems to be all over the place, often as low as 4MB even when nothing other than the Awful Orange Branding screen is running.

So i was wondering whether anyone knows a tool which free's up memory automatically, as the 6680 is damn slow at doing it itself.

Surely Nokia could have put more memory on this phone, 7MB is most i've seen free in Appman, and i know the phone comes with 11MB.

Does anyone know of anyway of increasing the memory from 11MB, or is there any software solutions?

I am indian......was looking for a good GPS software for N6600.....which can show road map and stuff of india......and to be precice ......hyderabad in india......is their something like this available???

You need to have gps device to do that, I don't know about the maps...

what do you mean a GPS........are u talking about GPS software or GPS(Global Positioning System).......Hardware..... .............i think their could be software that can allow people to see the road map and stuff over the network via their subscriber cos when they have something like "cell info service" on then they can recieve the area's name surely we can recive a map of the whole area...... can we.....

Cell info is not same as GPS. And surely it's not so precise.
Most gps software for mobiles is working like this: you connect your gps device and mobile via bluetooth, start that program on the phone and then...I don't know, maybe you have more options for your gps device then.
