Seedorf: Inter Best Team In Europe

AC Milan star Clarence Seedorf says that city rivals Inter are the best side in Italy at the moment, if not Europe.

The tension and expectation is building up ahead of this weekend’s derby match between the teams at San Siro.

Seedorf is better placed than most to talk about the game as he donned the colours of Inter from 2000 to 2002.

The Dutch master never settled at the club and was often played out of position, and he then was allowed to leave to join Milan, where he has since won every major club trophy on offer.

The last of these came on Sunday when the Rossoneri beat Boca Juniors in the Club World Cup final in Japan.

“Is it more difficult to beat Boca or Inter? We will see after the game on Sunday,” Seedorf said.

“All I know is that it will be very tough as the Beneamata are the strongest side in Italy, if not Europe, at the moment.”

Seedorf played a key part in the Club World Cup success as he scored the winner in the 1-0 semi-final victory over Japanese-outfit Urawa Reds.

“We have always been able to have big dreams and to realise them through hard work, will to win and the right level of humility,” the 31-year-old stated.

“It’s great to have the Cup in our hands as it is also recognition for the whole of Italian football.”
