Stankovic: "Mourinho is the best in the world"
Dejan Stankovic's comments after Inter's title triumph in Siena: "It's our fifth Scudetto in a row and we are very happy for this. It was hard but we did very well: us, the boss, the club, the president, the fans. We thank the club who have built a great team and given us the best coach in the world, who has made it clear to us that we are very strong. Thank you."

Mourinho: "The best team always wins"
- José Mourinho spoke on Inter Channel after celebrating the 18th Scudetto with his players. "The team that deserved most won the title," he said. "There are many matches in a championship and it's always the best team that deserves to win.

"It could have been easier because we had a very interesting advantage in terms of points at the halfway stage but then we dropped many points, partly for our fault. And playing in a competition like the Champions League, where you need the necessary energy to play two-legged ties against Barcelona and Chelsea, for example, made this championship even more difficult because physically and psychologically they were hard matches.

"In this sense, Roma were calm. They were out of the UEFA Cup, they were playing one game a week, they could prepare well for every match and leave all the pressure for us. It was difficult but I had never had this experience of winning a championship at the last minute. I had won it at home, in the hotel, with three or four games left, always with great tranquillity. (Smiles) This is a new experience, which I hope is not repeated...

"Siena were already in Serie B but they played a great game today with extreme professionalism. Perhaps some players, like Rosi, were also playing for Roma, but we did very well to stay calm on the pitch. After the first goal I was expecting more but it wasn't possible and we arrived at the end knowing that everything could change at any moment."

Inter dominated the championship, but Mourinho remembers the difficult moments. "After the game against Fiorentina and when Roma overtook us, the championship didn't depend on us alone. We knew that it wouldn't be enough to win every match and we hoped to overtake them in the Giallorossi's games against Sampdoria and Lazio. Yes, that was the most complicated moment of the season. Then we played against Juventus who came to San Siro not to win, but to stop Inter from winning the championship.".

And now the Nerazzurri can look ahead to Madrid. "The championship is over now. Winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia is always fantastic. Bayern Munich have done it too, but only one of us can win the Champions League. Am I already thinking about the game on 22 May? I don't know, but in this moment I don't have the strength to go on the bus and watch Bayern on DVD. But I will be back to work tomorrow.

"I'm not thinking about my future at the moment. I'm only thinking about Inter, my players and the game against Bayern. After the final there will be time to be a bit selfish and think about what can give me greater professional pleasure, but it's 100% percent true that I don't already have a foot on the Real Madrid bench."

So who does the Scudetto triumph belong to? "Today's victory belongs to everyone who is happy in this moment," said José.

Are you a bit annoyed at the risk of losing Mourinho due to external factors? If he left Inter, it would be because he doesn't like Italian football, not Inter.
"No, not at all. Each one of us adapts to certain situations. He is free to do it because he's foreign, and there are many things to consider, but this doesn't mean he won't stay. Actually, it's a funny situation in Italy, and particularly at Inter, always having to fight and never having the maximum satisfaction because there's always someone trying not to give it to you, and this is something in life that teaches you a lot."

Murinjo ostaje u Madridu posle finala LŠ




Inter i Bajern u subotu će se boriti za trofej najboljeg evropskog kluba u tekućoj sezoni, a u predvečerje finalnog duela na stadionu "Santjago Bernabeu" po evropskim medijima više se priča o sudbini trenera italijanskog šampiona Žozea Murinja nego o duelu sa Bavarcima. Predsednik "nero-azura" Masimo Morati izjavio je da je skeptičan da će trofejni Portugalac ostati u Milanu, dok španski As piše da je Murinjov menadžer Horhe Mendez priznao da je postignut usmeni dogovor između Portugalca i madridskog Reala!

Transfer će navodno biti realizovan posle finalne utakmice u prestonici Španije, a zanimljivo je da će ekspedicija Intera biti smeštena u hotelu "Mirasierra Suites", gde inače odseda i "kraljevski klub" kada je ekipa u karantinu. Izgleda da je jedino poitanje koje traži odgovor da li će Murinjo napustiti Inter sa duplom ili triplom krunom, pošto su mu vrata madridskog Reala širom otvorena.

Podsetimo, Murinjo je svojevremeno radio u Španiji i to u Braseloni, kao pomoćnik Bobiju Robsonu i Luisu van Galu, sa kojim će se u subotu boriti za najvredniji evropski trofej.
