Па сваки пад оне ђаволице Кристине у казненом, судија награђује пеналом за Манчестер.

Уопште нисам гледао утакмицу, да будем искрен, али ми је драго што су изгубили голом из пенала.

Ако је притом пенал био непостојећи, па онда ми је још драже.

CHELSEA

Petr Cech: 7 - Was a virtual spectator in the first half and not a great deal more to do in the second apart from some good collections. Had no chance with the goal.

Paulo Ferreira: - 6.5 – Kept Giggs quiet, although not a difficult job these days, but was replaced by Anelka in the second half as Chelsea were forced to go for the win.

Ricardo Carvalho: 4.5 - An awful error for the goal, which is unlike him. Has been Chelsea's best defender this season though.

John Terry: 7 – Solid at the back and helped restrict United to few clear cut chances.

Ashley Cole: 8 - Kept Nani quiet and did well to hoof one off the line from Ronaldo in the last minute. Some great runs forward as well.

John Obi Mikel: 7.5 – Along with Essien and Ballack he helped Chelsea dominate the midfield. United barely had meaningful spells of possession, and the Nigerian deserves full credit.

Michael Ballack: 9 - Performances like this win titles. Great run and finish for goal and kept his nerve to score the match wining penalty - all that only to ice what was a dominant midfield display. Man of the match.

Michael Essien: 8 - Chelsea’s driving force in the first half and showed just how much he was missed on Tuesday. Forced to play at right back in the second half and Chelsea missed his drive.

Saloman Kalou: 5.5 - Disappointing. The spirit was there, and he even played peacemaker between seniors Drogba and Ballack. But too often wasteful and sloppy in possession, and well marshalled by Hargreaves.

Didier Drogba: 6.5 - At times great, such as when he held off two United players before sticking the cross on Ballack’s head for the goal. At times infuriating such as in the second half when he’s arguing with his own team mates and complaining to Steve Clarke.

Joe Cole: 6.5 - Great approach work and dribbling but his shooting never troubled Van der Sar. Unlucky to hit the post in the first half and influence waned in the second.

Substitutions:

Nicolas Anelka: 6 – Replaced Ferreira but made little impact, again.

Andriy Shevchenko: 6.5 – Given the last ten minutes but proved vital in his own penalty area by clearing off the line from Fletcher in the last seconds.

Hope the naysayers aren't up in arms about this one.  admittedly we should have won this in the first half hour...but I'll take it.

Cech 8  More masterful in the air than i have seen him in a while-United resorted to cross' going 2-3 yards beyond the back post so he would be caught out.

Ferreira 7  Crossing not strong, but fairly sound defensively-plus he gave us impetus going down the wing.  I still think he is our strongest right back

Carvahlo 6  Well he lost a point for going asleep at a very critical juncture, plus he was caught out a couple of times in the marking,  His usual timely interceptions and the odd foray into Utd's half causing them to push back were the obvious plusses.

Terry    7  Lost a point from me for not grabbing Drogba when he was losing it.  I saw him come over, but he just grabbed some water and went away.  He won most everything in the air, and made sure the defender knew he was there.  Also a couple of times caught Riccy fever, and carried the ball effectively into the opposition half

A.Cole  7  I thought he had a decent game.  Again his cross' weren't great though a couple of times there was no one there.  I liked his tackling though.  He played the ball and made sure he got the man-at least during the first 30 minutes.  Ronaldo, when he came on didn't even venture his way more than once or twice, and lost the ball both times.

Kalou 6  Looked dangerous, made some good runs, but his releasing of the ball timing was way off, which had a number of players screaming at him-Essien, Drogba and Ballck being three I remember.

Essien 8  Ran the middle of the park, and won most of the challenges he was involved in.  However, how many of you thought, if that was Frankie, we'd have been one up from the chances he had in the first 2 minutes.

Obi  7  Quietly efficient-and got himself forward from time to time.

Ballack 8  Got involved, moved the ball-not brilliantly but well enough.  Really a 7, but for the two goals-and a bonus for holding his nerve.  I was watching with my brother a United fan-we grew up by the Cregagh estate, though why I am a blue is found elsewhere on TOCWS-and when the penalty was given I kept saying "It's got to be Ballack...it's gotta be Ballack."  To which he replied, "Of course...bloody German!"  (No replays from our view to say whether it was hands or not-anyone seem any conclusive eveidence?  Though the sheepish way Carrick left the field suggests it was the right decision.)

J.Cole  6  Pretty quiet, should have scored in the first 10, then almost did once he's screwed up the initial chance.  Some nice flicks and that, but far from his best.

Drogba 7  Battled hard, some great control, got involved, beautiful cross for the opener (and great skill to hold on to the ball. )  Probably an eight, but lost one for the pathetic argument after the fact with Ballack.  At first my brother and I thought it a ruse to catch the United players unaware-but as soon as Ballack stepped in front of the wall, it was clear their 'handbags' were real.

Anelka 6  Took up some great positions, but really didn't have an effect on the game.  it would have been nice if his shot had gone in at the end.

Shevchenko 6  How ironic, a 30 million strikers most telling contribution is a clearance off his own line.  Says it all about his Chelsea career, doesn't it.

Makele NA 

Overall we made many good raid into the United half only for them to come a cropper with the final ball.  But we certainly deserved the 3 points.  And on that slant, I have some problems with all the press and comments about the Liverpool game.  I finally saw it last night-and I have to disagree with the comments I have heard about Liverpool being totally dominant.

1.  Their goal was a fluke-as flukey as ours,if not more so, as it took several things to occur for it to happen-the foul against Ballack was never a foul, he got ball first, then was kicked-the shot was so badly hit to play in Kuyt, AND Babel who was in an offside position when the ball was played, certainly interferes with play, as he make Makele have to travel further to make the intervention. And at least it was a beautiful dangerous cross by Kalou.

2.  We had several extended periods of time when we not only controlled the game but were slinging several one touch passes together.  Maybe I was expecting something different because of all the game reports, and that is why I saw it differently.

3. If you count the good chances each team had, they come out even.  I have to say I agree with Frank-we deserved a draw, though in the end it came late and with a generous slice of luck

4.  I also didn't see Drogba as being out of the game.  I thought he was working hard-and being kicked, elbowed and shoved everytime he got the ball.  In many other games I have seen this season, both Carragher, but most especially Skrtel woudl have recieved more than the yellow card they still didn't get.

Blue glasses, probably, but honestly, the tint isn't that strong.  Watch it again and tell me I'm wrong.
