SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's air power summary.

Coalition aircraft flew 50 close-air-support missions March 13 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. These missions included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and Navy F/A-18 Hornets provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near al Hawijah, Bayji and Salman Pak.

In addition, 10 Air Force, Navy and Royal Australian Air Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

An Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and MQ-1 Predators provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Asadabad. The B-52 expended precision-guided munitions against an enemy position.

Four Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 185 airlift sorties, delivered 430 tons of cargo and transported 2,970 passengers.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On March 12 the Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 34 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.6 million pounds of fuel.

SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's air power summary.

Coalition aircraft flew 34 close-air-support missions March 14 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. These missions included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Taji.

In addition, 11 Air Force, Navy and Royal Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These missions included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction teams, and presence patrols.

Seven Air Force and Royal Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa.  They flew 180 airlift sorties, transporting 3,090 passengers and delivering almost 405 tons of cargo, including 9 tons of  humanitarian aid air-dropped in Northeast Afghanistan.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On March 13, U.S. Air Force tankers flew 27 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.1 million pounds of fuel.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 175 airlift sorties, delivered 435 tons of cargo and transported 2,250 passengers.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia and the South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On March 19 Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 32 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.3 million pounds of fuel.

March 18
In Operation Iraq Freedom March 18, U.S. Air Force F-15s provided close-air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Al Taji.

On that day in Operation Iraqi Freedom, coalition aircraft flew 34 close-air support missions. In eight of those, Air Force F-16s and F-15s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Taji, Balad, Tikrit and Ramadi. Other OIF missions were airpower operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities, provide infrastructure protection and support reconstruction activities.

In addition, 16 Air Force, Navy and Royal Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in overall support of operations in Iraq.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew a total of 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and route patrols.

Five Air Force and Royal Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain OIF and OEF operations throughout Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as providing military and humanitarian support in the Horn of Africa. On March 16 Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 31 sorties and off-loaded more than 2 million pounds of fuel.

March 17
In Operation Iraq Freedom Air Force F-15 Eagles provided close-air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Al Taji.

Also, in OIF, coalition aircraft flew 34 close-air-support missions. These missions included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

In addition, 13 Air Force, Navy and Royal Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in overall support of operations in Iraq. An Air Force fighter aircraft also performed in a non-traditional ISR role with its electro-optical and infrared sensors.

Coalition C-130 crews from Canada and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain OIF and OEF operations throughout Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as providing military and humanitarian support in the Horn of Africa. They flew 190 airlift sorties, delivered 480 tons of cargo and transported 3,330 passengers.

On March 17 Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 28 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.4 million pounds of fuel.

March 16
Air Force C-130s and C-17s continue to provided intra-theater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. Approximately 195 airlift sorties were flown, almost 650 tons of cargo were delivered, and close to 3,250 passengers were transported.

Also in Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These missions included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and route patrols.

Air Force A-10s, B-52 Stratofortresses and Royal Air Force GR-7 Harriers provided close-air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Orgun-E, Tarin Kowt and Qalat.

Four Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's airpower summary.

In Afghanistan March 28 , an Air Force B-52 Stratofortress, Predator, A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and Royal Air Force Harrier GR7s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Gereshk.

The Predator successfully launched two AGM-114 “Hellfire” precision-guided munitions against enemy forces. The GR7s successfully expended two MK-82 500-pound and one MK-83 1000-pound general-purpose bomb, along with one GBU-16 Enhanced Paveway II bomb and 23 rockets against enemy forces. The A-10s successfully fired 460 30mm cannon rounds, and expended one MK-82 500-pound general-purpose bomb and two GBU-12 Paveway II bombs against the target.

In Asadabad, an Air Force B-52 provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces, successfully expending eight GBU-31 precision-guided JDAMs against an enemy position.

In total, Coalition aircraft flew 26 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Eight Air Force and RAF ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

In Iraq, coalition aircraft flew 54 close-air-support missions for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and Navy F/A-18 hornets provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Habbaniyah and Baghdad.

In addition, 14 Air Force, Navy and RAF intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

They flew 180 airlift sorties, transported 2,870 passengers and delivered 630 tons of cargo including 10,000 pounds of troop re-supply air-dropped in Afghanistan.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On March 29 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 34 sorties and off-loaded almost 2.6 million pounds of fuel.

CENTAF releases combined airpower summary

SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released the airpower summary for April 1 to 3.

In Afghanistan April 2, an Air Force B-52 Stratofortress provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Oruzgan. The B-52 successfully dropped GBU-31 precision-guided JDAMs against enemy targets.

Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Deh Rawood. An A-10 successfully expended a MK-82, 500 pound general-purpose bomb against an enemy target.

Coalition aircraft flew a total of 18 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Six Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

In Iraq, coalition aircraft flew 26 close-air-support missions for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and F-15 Eagles provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Mahmudiyah, Al Miqdadiyah, Tikrit and Ramadi.

In addition, 14 Air Force and Navy ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq.

They flew 170 airlift sorties, transported 2,115 passengers and delivered 360 tons of cargo including 24 tons of troop re-supply air-dropped in Afghanistan.

On April 1 Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 31 sorties and off-loaded almost 2.3 million pounds of fuel.

In Afghanistan April 1, an Air Force B-52 provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Deh Rawood. The B-52 successfully expended 11 GBU-31 precision-guided JDAMs against enemy targets.

In addition, coalition aircraft flew 22 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Four Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

In Iraq, coalition aircraft flew 50 close-air-support missions for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16s and Navy F/A-18 Hornets provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Hawijah, Al Mahmudiyah, Al Miqdadiyah, Balad, Ramadi and Tikrit.

In addition, 12 Air Force and Navy ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 185 airlift sorties, delivered 670 tons of cargo and transported 2,870 passengers.

On March 31 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 35 sorties and off-loaded almost 2.8 million pounds of fuel.

Coalition aircraft flew 60 close-air-support missions March 31 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities, and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16s, F-15s, and Navy F/A-18s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Miqdadiyah, Baquba and Fallujah.

In addition, 15 Air Force, Navy, RAF and Royal Australian Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In total, coalition aircraft flew 22 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Five Air Force and RAF ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 180 airlift sorties, delivered 590 tons of cargo and transported 3,600 passengers.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia and Canada flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On March 30 Air Force tankers flew 35 sorties and off-loaded almost 2.8 million pounds of fuel.
