SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's airpower summary.

Coalition aircraft flew 34 close-air-support missions Jan. 25 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Hawijah.

In addition, 10 Air Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force and Royal Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 21 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

An Air Force Predator and A-10 Thunderbolt IIs provided close air support to coalition forces in contact with enemy troops near Jalalabad.

Five Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 170 airlift sorties, delivered 355 tons of cargo and transported 2,970 passengers.

Coalition C-130 crews from Canada and the South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On Jan. 24, Air Force and RAF tankers flew 27 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.1 million pounds of fuel.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and the Republic of Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF. This included approximately 14,900 pounds of humanitarian aid air-dropped in central Afghanistan.

On Jan. 25, Air Force and Royal Air Force tankers flew 26 sorties and off-loaded more than 1.6 million pounds of fuel.

SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released the airpower summary for Jan. 28 to 30.

Coalition aircraft flew 56 close-air-support missions Jan. 29 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Navy F/A-18 Hornets and F-14 Tomcats provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Balad. The aircraft expended one precision-guided munition against an enemy position.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and Navy F/A-18s and F-14s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Iskandariyah, Balad and Ramadi.

In addition, 16 Air Force and Royal Air Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

On Jan. 28 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 36 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.5 million pounds of fuel.

Coalition aircraft flew 54 close-air-support missions Jan. 28 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force Fighting Falcons and F-15 Eagles and Navy Hornets and Tomcats provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Taji, Baghdad, Balad, Bayji, Mosul and Tikrit.

In addition, 12 Air Force and RAF ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. An Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with its electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew two close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

An Air Force B-52 Stratofortress provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Orgun-E. The B-52 expended two precision-guided munitions against enemy firing positions with successful effects.

On Jan. 27 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 33 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.2 million pounds of fuel.

Coalition aircraft flew 50 close-air-support missions Jan. 27 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16s, F-15s and Navy F/A-18s and F-14s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Balad, Bayji, Mosul, Salman Pak and Samarra.

In addition, 12 Air Force, Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and RAF ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Air Force A-10s and RAF GR-7s provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with enemy forces near Gereshk. The GR-7s successfully expended precision-guided munitions against an enemy firing position. The A-10s successfully strafed the target with approximately 230 cannon rounds.

An Air Force B-52, A-10s, Predators and a Navy EA-6B Prowler provided close air support to coalition forces in contact with enemy troops near Khowst, Gereshk and Orgun-E.

Five Air Force and RAF ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130s and C-17s provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 130 airlift sorties, transported 1,745 passengers and delivered 305 tons of cargo including 6,000 pounds of ammunition air-dropped to coalition troops in Afghanistan.

Coalition C-130 crews from Canada flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On Feb. 2 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 39 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.3 million pounds of fuel.

Coalition aircraft flew 52 close-air-support missions Feb. 6 for
Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops,
infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to
deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-15 Eagles, Navy F-14 Tomcats and F/A-18 Hornets provided
close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces
near Al Iskandariyah, Al Taji, Baghdad and Samarra.

In addition, 12 Air Force, Navy and Royal Air Force intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in
support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in
a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared
sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 18 close-air-support missions in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to
coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence
route patrols.

Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs provided close air support to coalition
forces in contact with enemy troops near Jalalabad.

Four Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in
Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intratheater
heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout
Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 175 airlift sorties,
transported 2,835 passengers and delivered 305 tons of cargo including
8,500 pounds of civic aid air-dropped in Afghanistan.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea flew
in support of either OIF or OEF.

On Feb. 5 Air Force and RAF tankers flew 32 sorties and off-loaded more
than 2.2 million pounds of fuel.

CENTAF releases daily airpower summary

SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- U.S. Central Command Air Forces officials released today's airpower summary.

Coalition aircraft flew 32 close-air-support missions Feb. 8 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. They included support to coalition troops, infrastructure protection, reconstruction activities and operations to deter and disrupt terrorist activities.

Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Balad. An F-16 successfully expended a precision guided munition against a suspected enemy position.

Air Force F-15 Eagles and F-16s and Navy F/A-18 Hornets provided close air support to coalition troops in contact with anti-Iraqi forces near Al Hawijah, Al Iskandariyah, Al Miqdadiyah, Al Mahmudiyah, Baghdad and Baquba.

In addition, 14 Air Force, Navy, Royal Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Iraq. Also, Air Force fighter aircraft flew in a non-traditional ISR role with their electro-optical and infrared sensors.

In Afghanistan, coalition aircraft flew 20 close-air-support missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They included support to coalition and Afghan troops, reconstruction activities and presence route patrols.

Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs provided close air support to coalition forces in contact with enemy troops near Gardez.

Five Air Force ISR aircraft flew missions in support of operations in Afghanistan.

Air Force C-130 Hercules and C-17 Globemaster IIIs provided intratheater heavy airlift support, helping sustain operations throughout Afghanistan, Iraq and the Horn of Africa. They flew 160 airlift sorties, delivered 285 tons of cargo and transported 3,335 passengers.

Coalition C-130 crews from Australia, Canada and South Korea flew in support of either OIF or OEF.

On Feb. seven Air Force and RAF tankers flew 34 sorties and off-loaded more than 2.5 million pounds of fuel.
