Čelnici Arsenala prekinuli saradnju sa Najkijem i od naredne sezone će igrati u dresovima marke Adidas.



Arsenal i Najki imaju ugovor o saradnji već 18 godina, a prema informacijama do kojih su došli engleski mediji od naredne sezone opremu za tim iz Londona dobavljaće veliki rival Najkija, nemačka firma Adidas.

 Navodno su Tobdžije već dogovorile saradnju sa Adidasom po kojoj će godišnje inkasirati 25 miliona funti.

 Tim sa "Emirejtsa" je treći tim u svetu po prodaji dresova is svakako će ovo biti veliki  udarac za Najki, a Arsenal će biti šesti tim koji nosi Adidas opremu u Premjieršipu.

 Pored njih tu su Čelsi, Stouk, Sanderlend, Svonsi i VBA, a verovatno će im se pored Arsenala pridružiti i Fulham.

Jack Wilshere says it was only the smile on his baby’s face that got him through his 14-month injury hell.

English football’s brightest prospect started his first Premier League game in 524 days to inspire Arsenal’s first victory in three games in the 1-0 defeat of QPR.

But it has been a long and sometimes desperate journey back from the ankle injury which threatened his career.

Wilshere, 20, confessed there were two months when he hit rock bottom and only his son Archie – now 13 months old – saw him through.

The Arsenal midfielder said: “I’ve got my son now and I don’t know what I’d do if it wasn’t for him. He helped me massively.

“No matter what you go through, when you see your son, you’re happy. For a couple of months, all I was looking forward to was going home to see my son.

“For any player to have four months out is tough but to have a year out and another couple of months is really frustrating. When you’re nearly back a couple of times then have another setback it’s really hard to take.

“In football, you learn to deal with injuries and this will help me. My family have helped me so much. My dad has always been there, my mum as well. I think they were just as excited and nervous as me coming back.

“Then there’s the Arsenal medical team, the physio Colin Lewin, fitness trainer Declan Lynch, who came in during June when I was really down. Things like that – it wasn’t just his rehab, it was his attitude as well, he helped pick me up.

“For the last couple of months I’ve been going in at 8am and going home at 4pm and the hard work is paying off now.

“When you go to the training ground day after day there’s times when you don’t want to do it, especially when you see all the boys go training. But it’s great now to be back and hopefully I can push on from here.”

Wilshere did not even know he was starting until Saturday morning as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wanted to stop him getting too nervous.

But Wilshere said he loved each of the 67 minutes on the pitch and now has no doubts he is fully recovered – especially after testing his ankle with some X-rated tackles.

Wilshere said: “All the hard work and long days at the training ground have paid off. It’s been a long journey but it feels amazing to be back.

“I didn’t expect to be starting. When the boss told me, I was shocked. He just said, ‘I’m going to play you from the start, I think you’re ready and see how you feel after 60 minutes.’ After 60 minutes, I was just dead!

“But from the moment I went out there, it felt like home. The fans were great. Just for now, I’m happy to be out there and healthy again. The feeling – I was just running around smiling – was amazing.

“I want to show the fans I can get back to the level I was at before. The tackles are part of my game. If I ever lost that I wouldn’t be the player I was before so it was important to come through that.”

Even Wilshere knows his absence – he has not started a senior game since England’s draw with Switzerland in June 2011 – has seen his reputation grow. Now he is being called the saviour of English football.

Wilshere refuses to get carried away but says he can handle the expectation. “Football is like that, especially with England,” he said. “You become a better player when you’re injured, you become a world beater.

“When you come back, there’s an expectation but I can deal with it. That’s part and parcel of football.”

Wilshere says he will happily play at Reading tomorrow in the Capital One Cup and clearly has an eye on playing against Manchester United on Saturday. Judging by his performance against QPR, he is ready.

Arsenal were slugging at times with Wilshere a lone highlight. They appeared to be running out of ideas, QPR keeper Julio Cesar pulled off a string of great saves but Stephane Mbia’s crazy 80th-minute sending off for kicking Thomas Vermaelen was the turning point.

Andrey Arshavin, on for injured substitute Gervinho, crossed and Olivier Giroud’s header was kept out by Cesar, Mikel Arteta looked offside as he headed on to the bar and then the Spanish midfielder forced home.

Arsenal survived a few scares as they hung on towards the end but it finished on a high for Wenger, Wilshere and the future of English football.

Arsene Wenger has urged Roy Hodgson not to pick fit-again Jack Wilshere for England next month.

England No.2 Ray Lewington was at the Emirates to watch Wilshere’s return after his 14 month injury nightmare and Hodgson is also due to be at Reading on Tuesday for Arsenal’s Capital One Cup tie.

Hodgson is believed to be considering calling up Wilshere for the friendly in Sweden on November 14 but Wenger is planning to ring the England boss to ask him not to.

Arsenal boss Wenger said: “It is a friendly! Jack should skip that. What is important now is that he gets back to full fitness for this team. Once he is back he will play for England again.

“I will have a little word, of course. Anyway, Roy will call me about him. A full game would be too much at the moment. I will speak about it with Roy, but what is important now is that he gets back to his level.”

Wenger admits that it will be hard to hold Wilshere back because he is such a special talent and the fit-again midfielder is even keen to play at Reading in the Capital One Cup tomorrow night.

“I must say that the danger of expectation is permanent in England,” said Wenger. “People have to be a little bit patient to see the best of him again. Even if he’s not 100 per cent, he still shows in aspects of the game that he is a classy player.

“We don’t think his ankle will have to be managed in any way. I’m not good enough medically to say that definitely, but that’s what the medics say - we should just forget that.

“He is special, Jack. People who understand football understand that he is a good player. He has that typical thing where he can turn and take the ball forward, which is very difficult for a midfielder. He still lacks a little bit of ability to get away from people, but he will get that.”

Wilshere, who started his first Premier League game since May 2011, insists he felt no ill effects but admits there is pressure on him but says he can handle the expectation for club and country.

Wilshere added: “Football is like that, especially with England. You become a better player when you’re injured, you become a world beater when you’re injured.

“When you come back, there’s an expectation but I can deal with it. That’s part and parcel of football and there’s older players here who can keep my feet on the ground and help me.

“I feel good now. I got a bit of cramp in the 60th minute. I think the boss saw that and took me off. We’ve got a game on Tuesday, I don’t know what the boss will want to do but if I’m selected then I’m ready to play.”

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wojciech Szczesny and Kieran Gibbs could all be back for next Saturday at Manchester United but Gervinho is facing a lay-off with ankle ligament damage.
