Granite APC – 1 Specifications     

EN 1036 BR6 Certified Armor
AR 500 certificated Level B6 armor plating that includes floor, side wall, roof and engine.
Engine and transmission have armor protection. 7.62 x 51mm 149 grain M80 Ball ammunition.
Skid plate protecting the cooling system.
Protection for Gas tank and radiator comes as standard.

UL Level 8 Ballistic Glass
Ballistic UL Level 8 glass 56mm thickness in all windows. Rated to absorb 12 rounds of 7.62 x51mm 149 grain M80 Ball ammunition.
4 inch Gun-ports for side and rear windows. 6 inch gun-ports are optional.

Mine Seats
All 2006 model vehicles are fitted with Mine Seats. This further increases the protection levels against shock wave injuries to the crew and passengers.

Crew and Passenger Capacity
Four (4) crew positions and 4 - 6 passenger positions.
Mine seats for all personnel.
5 Way restraints Seat Belts for all personnel.

Turret Hatches
Two Roof hatches to allow for additional security measures. Weather seals to ensure that when shut there is reduced noise and no dust / water penetration. Hatches also have an optional fabric material skirt to reduce water / dust penetration to passenger compartment when the hatch is open and manned.

Tyres
7 Tyres are 245/70R 19.5 inch which includes 1 spare provided. The vehicle has fixtures for 3 spares. (The 2 additional tyres are optional). Runflat inserts are provided on all tyres.

Doors
Two entry doors one each side which have door locks making it possible to secure the vehicle from outside using the ignition key or for the inside using the manual lock mechanism.
Weather sealed when shut to reduce road noise and exclude dust / water penetration.

Options
The Granite APC -1 is available in 2x4 drive and 4x4.
Roof mounted air conditioning powered by secondary generator. This allows the engine to be switched off and still be able to have air conditioning running in the vehicle.

Miscellaneous
Roof lining with sound dampener material.
Crane lifting grabs to facilitate loading onto flatbed or ship.
Tie down D – Shackles to facilitate shipping by low loader, flatbed or aircraft.
Runner board and grab bars external to driver compartment to facilitate extraction / quick pickup of stranded roadside personnel.
Towing points integrated into the front and rear bumper.
Tail pipe modified to be in front of the rear dual wheel to easier facilitate wheel changing.
