Hindu Tafe, Turkish Uzel and Pol-Mot may be the investors in Ursus tractor producer. Ursus, the company from Bumar group, once Poland’s legendary tractor producer, is looking for a strategic investor.

“I have always seen Bumar as a transition investor who will help us survive after ZPC Ursus went bankrupt. We have modernized production, changed part delivery system. We need capital and a sector investor would be welcome. This would be better for the company than staying in an army group. We hope for synergies and a common delivery and sales system” Jan Olszewski, Ursus CEO said.

Fortunately for the company, talks with Turkish Uzel and Hindu Tafe have been going on for several months already. “These companies, just like Ursus, have once bought licenses from Fergusson and they produce similar tractors. Synergies would be easy to obtain”, Ursus CEO added.

Polish Pol-Mot is also trying to acquire Ursus. “They produce agricultural vehicles, and not tractors. With joint sales, we could reach a small positive effect. It is important, however, how Pol-Mot’s partner, Chinese Shandong Foton Heavy Industries could strengthen the group”, Ursus CEO said.
