Kada se pojavila ova verzija aviona na aeromitinzima i u stampi su spominjane dve oznake Su-32FN i Su-34, gde je prvi bio u plavoj maskirnoj shemi i namenjen mornarici (ne nosacima aviona!) i imao je odgovarajucu opremu i naoruzanje za detektovanje povrsinskih brodova i podmornica. Drugi, dakle Su-34 je bio u zelenoj maskirnoj shemi i namenjen za prodor u dubinu neprijateljske teritorije i namenjen za pre svega kopnene ciljeve. To je bilo dok su oba aviona bili predlozi Ruskoj vojsci ponudjeni od strane biroa. Mene zanima da li su oba usvojena ili samo jedan i pod kojim tacno oznakama. Ako neko zna pouzdanu informaciju bio bih zahvalan.

In 2 – 3 Years, KnAAPO Will Produce 10 Su-34 Every Year

In 2 – 3 years, KnAAPO is supposed to produce 10 Su-34 airplanes annually, the Sukhoy company’s general director, Mikhail Pogosyan, has reported.
According to him, “addition KnAAPO facilities can be joined to the program to if there is a demand to increase the production volume of these aircraft on Russian Federation air force order. The capabilities available of the two plants will be able to provide a total output of up to 30 aircraft a year.”
M. Pogosyan noted that after an air regiment of Su-34 has been produced over the next 3 – 4 years and transferred to the Russian Federation air force, the Sukhoy holding company will begin marketing these aircraft under the Su-32 designation ((INDEKS)) on the worldwide market.”
The Sukhoy holding company will produce 100 airplanes in all of different types (military and civilian) annually in the very near future, M. Pogosyan concluded. ((There were two long articles about the Su-34 that appeared today, 18 December, that are not translated here. The first, written by Yuriy Avdeev in Krasnaya Zvezda, titled “A ‘Su’per Complex for the Air Force” simply rehashes old material about the airplane translated here in the past few months. The second article, reported in Vremya Novostey by Nikolay Poroskov, and titled “Era of the Su-34” recounts the long road to production, including months without paychecks for plant personnel and the fact that it is 13 years since the first flight of the prototype. In particular, Poroskov notes that the first two aircraft are side numbers 01 and 02, respectively, and that 01 is being flown by Hero of Russia, Colonel Igor’ Malikov and test navigator Colonel Aleksandr Oshchepkov, candidate of engineering sciences. He further points out that in the West the aircraft is called the “Fullback” and that air force commander-in-chief Mikhaylov intends to have some unspecified flight records established by the aircraft as early as this year.))


MMPP Salyut Ready to Deliver Upgraded AL-31F-M1 Engines for Newest Su-34 Tactical Bombers

MMPP Salyut is ready to deliver upgraded AL-31F-M1 engines for the newest Su-34 tactical bombers, the enterprise’s general director, Yuriy Eleseev announced.
According to Yuriy Eliseev, the AL-31F-M1 modification is distinguished from the basic variant by an increased thrust of one tonne and an increased mean time between overhaul up to 750 hours. In the future, the engine’s thrust will be increased to 14 tonnes and the mean time between overhaul to 1,000 hours.
The upgrade of the basic AL-31F engine into the AL-31F-M1 variant has been realized in full using MMPP funds, the end of the Moscow enterprise emphasized. Within the framework of the creation of the fifth generation engine, FGUP MMPP Salyut is creating three modifications of the AL-31F engine – the M1, M2 and M3, Eliseev recalled. There will not be a four-stage, but a three-stage low pressure compressor on the M2 modification which already has been developed at the enterprise, and thrust and service life also will be increased even more. It is planned to raise the thrust on the M3 by 20 percent in comparison with the basic variant, and this modification will approximate the fifth generation engine as much as possible, Eliseev noted.
