Nokia Lumia 930 goes official: Lumia Icon look-alike for the rest of the world




The Nokia Lumia 930 has just gone official, and it is just what rumors painted it to be - a Lumia Icon look-alike smartphone with a 5-inch 1080 x 1920-pixel full HD display, a 20-megapixel PureView camera, and a few software tricks up its sleeve.

The Lumia 930 will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 on board, and it comes with metallic elements on the side, plus it also supports wireless charging. In addition, just like many other Lumias, it captures outstanding sound thanks to its advanced (likely, HAAC microphone) that also support directional stereo recording.

The Lumia 930 boils down to the following specs:

    5” 1080x1920-pixel ClearBlack OLED display with Super Sensitive Touch
    2.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 system chip with 2GB of RAM
    20-megapixel PureView camera with ZEISS lens and dual LED flash
    Stereo sound recording with directional sound
    32GB of internal storage (no support for microSD cards)
    2420mAh battery
    Qi wireless charging


One of the biggest highlights of the Lumia 930 is, of course, its 20-megapixel camera. In fact, the camera in the 930 looks exactly like the one in the Lumia Icon (on paper) - it features a large, 1/2.5" image sensor, f/2.4 aperture, and auto-focus with 2-stage shutter key. Of course, it allows the same features like 2x high-resolution zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS).

In terms of software tricks, you get a new Nokia Storyteller app that will combine your images and videos, and add a soundtrack to them, much like HTC does with its highlight reels.

The Nokia Lumia 930 release date is set for June, when the phone will start selling in Europe. Later on, the phone will sell in Asia, India and Middle East. It will be available on more than 100 operators, and its starting price is set at $599 off contract.

Nokia to push wireless charging by bundling free chargers with Lumia 930



Nokia has unveiled plans to push wireless charging heavily with the Lumia 930 launch. By this we mean the company will be bundling a free wireless charging accessory with each purchase. It’s a move we expected to see with future hardware since Microsoft joined the Wireless Power Consortium alongside Nokia and other companies.



The Lumia 930 has gone back to Nokia’s roots of including wireless charging inside the chassis itself, rather than requiring the consumer to purchase an optional case accessory. Conor Pierce, VP of Nokia UK & Ireland explained to a media briefing yesterday how the company was going to drive wireless charging, a more convenient option.

We expect the Lumia 930 to launch later this year.

Ako hoćeš wp, nemaš neki izbor. Novi high end modeli ne izlaze, i pitanje je šta će sledeće izbaciti.

Cena je skoro pa identična kod sva tri operatera.

Pozdrav. Kupio sam lumiu 930 i sve radi odlično , samo me brine jedna stvar a to je nakon Denim update-a ekran mi ponekad potamni na pola sekunde i opet se vrati na normalo. Kao da zatreperi na trenutak i nastavi sve normalno. Je l' znate možda u čemu je problem?

Od pre neki dan druzimo se sa Nokia Lumia 930 i koliko mogu primetiti  za nekoliko dana da je ekran eksta ,a kamera  vrh iznenadio sam se ,,,zaista telefon daje osecaj da u ruci imate nesto mnogo mocno cudoviste koje nema sa cime da ga smirite (kada bi samo imao aplikacije od androida  ovo bi bio No:01 best fon)
