Da pojasnim, radi se o minijaturnom projektoru koji je moguće ugraditi u mobilni telefon, Pocket PC (PDA), Laptop, i slične uredjaje. Projektor(mobilni telefon, nabrojani uredjaji) radi preko posebnog sistema ugradjenih širokougaonih sočiva pomoću kojih je preko posebne lampe moguće emitovati sliku na zid ili bilo koju ravnu površinu:

Samo još jedan dokaz šta su u stanju mobilni telefoni današnjice. Mada čisto sumnjam da će ovako nešto brzo u serijsku proizvodnju na novijim modelima mobilnih telefona ali vredi bar spoznaja same mogućnosti upotrebe!
Govorilo se takodje pre par godina o ugradnji virtuelne 3d tastature u sam mobilni telefon pa se izgleda od toga odustalo i prešlo na prodavanje posebnog uredjaja.
No limiti su izgleda nedostižni!!!

mrzi me sad da trazim koliki je takt procesora u 6600, koji nije najbrzi telefon danasnjice ali da kazemo da je neki prosek, ali verujem da brze radi od pentium I na 166 MHz, tako kad za mobilni postpoji internet, moze da se stampa sa njega, kucati .DOC, da ne nabrajam dalje zasto ne bi ugradili jednu glupu lampu koja ce bacati sliku na zid

The company Texas Instruments presented at the event Pepcom in New York prototype of a mobile phone with integrated video. As a light source device uses laser, a model based on LED is currently under development. Definitely, this module will be extremely useful addition to any phone or smartphone: it is he, in fact, solve the problem of the small screen.



   
In particular, the built-in video can display presentations directly from the mobile device, without the help of computers. Of course, the image quality will give professional video and still a cell phone handy for small demonstrations. You can find other uses for such action: viewing the "big screen" video, pictures, Web pages, etc.

A mobile projector in your pocket

Microvision unveiled an advanced prototype of a handheld, battery-powered, 'plug-and-play' projector based on а single micro-mirror laser scanning display technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas.

Code-named SHOW, the new pico projector is intended for mobile devices. SHOW is said to directly connect to laptops, mobile phones, portable media players, digital cameras and other mobile devices to project high-resolution images and video onto any surface.

The images projected can range anywhere from 12 inches (30 cm) to 100 inches (2.5 m) in size depending upon the projection distance. More importantly, the projected images are always in focus due to the specifics of the laser technology used.

The retail version of the device is expected to offer approximately 2.5 hours of continuous battery life, sufficient to watch a full-length movie without a need for recharging. Microvision reports that SHOW can project a DVD quality image with up to WVGA (848 X 480 pixels) resolution.

It is very important to mention that the SHOW projector technology can be embedded into mobile consumer products, which greatly facilitates watching clips and images without the need of large expansive displays.

Other prototype that was showcased at CES is based on the Texas Instruments pico-projection technology, initially announced during the 2007 CTIA Wireless convention. Unlike the Microvision's device, which is almost ready to see its retail version, the TI device was exhibited to show the Texas Instruments willingness to implement the technology as soon as a major player occurs. Till now, there are no concrete plans to develop a retail TI pico-projector device.

Other than Microvision and Texas instruments, 3M has also stated their plans to develop tiny projectors with the unveiling of a 0.5-inch wide projector prototype capable ot projecting a 40-inch image. The projector unit has compact-mobile-phone dimensions so it can be incorporated in mobile phones, too.

So, if you’ve got to be the first kid on your block with a projector phone, then this might be the handset for you. If you’re friends are more likely to make fun of you for rocking a phone with a fake iPhone UI, you might want to stay away.

It weighs just 2 ounces and measures roughly 0.7 by 2.1 by 2.8 inches at its base, where it attaches to the back of the phone. It's smaller than the measurements suggest, however, tapering in on all four sides, so that the top is only 1.75 by 2.3 inches. Even better, it seems smaller than it is, since the combination of the gray top with black sides tends to trick the eye into noticing only the smaller dimensions at the top.

 LG GW820 eXpo, ne napisaše nigde nešto preciznije o ovom telefonu. Koliko mu drži baterija, koliko mu drži baterija ako se koristi taj projektor, vek trajanja lampe na projektoru... Ima ga da se nađe za 500-600 dolara al opet, nisu napisali ništa preciznije o novinama ugrađenim na ovom telefonu.
