Explicit and disturbing, El Bufalo de la Noche is the story of a young man, Manuel, embarking into the twisted psyche of his best friend Gregorio after Gregorio's suicide. The film focuses on three periods of time in the lives of Manuel and Gregorio. Unlike the tacky portrayal of times passed found in most movies (usually shown with a change in hair style) the effects of pain and loss can be seen and felt in the outstanding performances of the players. Indeed, the performances of Diego Luna, Irene Azuela, Liz Gallardo and Gabriel González can be called nothing short of brilliant. The grim tone of the film reflects the darkness of the mind, the struggle between loyalty and temptation and helplessness in the face of human weakness. If you are looking for something easy and straightforward to watch, rent Pirates of the Caribbean. If you want to see something complex and intensely visceral, something that will leave you with shivers, watch El Bufalo de la Noche.

Annette Haven stars as Charlie, a beautiful but reserved young woman. When her husband (Wade Nichols) arranges for them and another couple to spend a romantic weekend together on a secluded section of California beach, it becomes clear to Charlie that in order for her to enjoy true pleasure, she will have to break free of her reserved shell.

A familiar plot in which a husband wishes his wife to "swing" but feels threatened when she finally agrees and actually enjoys it. Many beautiful images and fantasy sequences follow. Many scenes are filmed in very low light. This hardcore movie is not about having sex, it’s about making love! All in all, it’s an excellent film!

Rolls-Royce Baby (1975)

Very rare non-Jess Franco Lina Romay film directed by Erwin Dietrich, Rolls Royce Baby  carries a basic storyline, but its entire purpose is simply to marvel at the beauty and uninhibited abandon of the magnificent Ms. Romay, who has never looked as tantalisingly tempting as she does here. Roaming around gorgeous countryside in a chauffeur-driven vintage limousine, Lina drapes herself naked across the rear passenger upholstery, making herself available for any fortunate stray hiker the vehicle should happen to pass. Although a grim flashback scene involving a pair of unsavoury truck drivers towards the end offers a psychological explanation for Lina's nymphomania, this seems present merely to appease the conventional viewer who requires everything to be nicely spelled out, unable to handle such an abstract and star-focused approach to the art of film. For the remainder of us, this movie is like your favourite painting brought to life.



 




   

Tender Is The Heart (2001) a.k.a. Killer Sex (2001)



Plot: A doctor falls in love with his patient, a beautiful tennis star who has just been diagnosed with a condition from which she could die if she doesn't have an operation.

Jennifer Gayle, who has a "not really a softcore actress" look about her, plays Christy Redford, a tennis superstar diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. Her doctor, Dr. Thomas Freeman, develops a crush on her early on, telling Christy she reminds him of his recently deceased wife, with whom he has sex with in the very first scene (it's actually just his imagination, but a nice touch anyway).
A colleague of Thomas, Dr. Alex Foster, is worried about his buddy being all alone and sets him up with "a real classy lady" as Alex puts it, Raquel (played by Staci Noel, also known as Tracy Ryan and a plethora of other names). Raquel instantly falls for Thomas and nearly sleeps with him on the first date; she literally has to push him out the door so she won't take her clothes off. Raquel gives Thomas a very cheesy speech about Thomas "making a better woman out of her" during this scene. For some reason, that doesn't stop her from partaking in a three-way in the very next scene. It makes no sense storyline-wise, but sometimes sex scenes occur in softcore flicks for no apparent reason. Thomas quickly rebounds into the arms of Christy, who is recovering nicely. Alex takes a liking to Christy's best buddy Beth (Toby Miller), and they go off and have sex almost immediately after meeting.

A bunch of hot chicks are having a slumber party for their friend Tiffany, who's off to Sweden to make a high end Triple X movie. The festivities are in high gear but then a giant monster inexplicably invades Los Angeles. One girl videos everything as the babes make a run for it through the city. But there are more things to beware of beside the monster. According to some naked hotties seen in an alley way, the monster is covered with moth-mites that drop off its slimy body then attack unwary female victims, chewing off their clothes. It's a harrowing night for all involved

Les Démoniaques (Jean Rollin) 1973



Plot Synopsis:
Jean Rollin's surreal pirate film takes place on land amidst the skeletons of beached and plundered ships, the legacy of a cutthroat band of "wreckers" who lure ships into the shallows. When a pair of survivors, young girls glowing in white nightgowns, wander through the shallows seeking help from the merry quartet, they are summarily molested, beaten, and left for dead. Like in many of Rollin's films, the story doesn't make much narrative sense--the girls escape to the haunted ruins where a woman in clown makeup cares for them and a mysterious magician gives them the power to take their revenge in return for sex--but the logic takes on a dreamlike quality appropriate to the gorgeous and bizarre imagery. In a strange tavern adorned with skeletons (and a man playing with a Dracula doll!), the Captain is haunted by visions of the girls as white-faced specters. A search for the girls amidst the rotting hulls of old ships culminates in a fiery inferno that burns spectacularly against the night sky. Meanwhile well-endowed costar Joëlle Coeur strips at the slightest suggestion, frolics and bounces on a bed, and runs around the beach topless while hunting the girls. Rollin's strange little film, a ghost story without ghosts, rambles on a little too long before it culminates in a self-destructive frenzy and ends on a sad, serene note.

The best thing about the movie is Joelle Coeur, who plays the female leader of the sailor/ship wreckers. She's sadistic, charismatic and truly perverse, masturbating on the beach as her followers rape the two girls. Scenes in the abbey are beautiful and atmospheric, evoking the style and mood we have come to expect and love from a Rollin movie. This is Rollin at his most delirious, sadistic and dubious.     Poor Luci, she is a 15 year old English schoolgirl about to embark on a promising career as the high-school mattress when she comes home one day from school to find her Mum as dead as a door knob in the tub. You see her Mum has cut her wrists after a long unrewarding career as the town mattress. Fortunately for Luci, her Mum's childhood friend is now a very successful upper-middle class doctor who has decided to take Luci home to his family (on a trial basis). Luci's new family (The Quayles) has a few issues. The father's libedo is on the wane and he has a stick permanently stuck up his butt. The mother was "convent schooled" and misses the good old days of snuggling up with a pretty young girl. The son is an amateur peeper without the libedo problem but also with a stick up his butt. Luci arrives in the midst of all this with her one suitcase, a bit unbalanced from her mother's recent suicide, and does everything she can to fit in with her new family - more or less. There isn't a whole lot of nudity or explicit sex. I've read that the film was originally given an "X" rating but don't let that fool you. This was 1968. Many films which would barely make an "R" rating today got an X in those days. In any event, it was released on video in the 1980s with an "R" rating and the copyright was abandoned in the U.S. in the mid 1990's. The video is "Deleted" in England. This is probably as "uncut" a version as one is likely to find. According to IMDB it is 3 minutes longer than the theatrical release and a couple of minutes shorter than the Brazilian release.
