Plans were underway for a second series as early as January 2011.[11] Citing ratings success for the first series, Sky officially renewed Mad Dogs for a second of four episodes, which would also be written by Cris Cole. Beesley, Glenister, Simm and Warren would reprise their roles, with filming taking place over Summer 2011, and released by early 2012. There is also a possibility for a third series.

Sky Media is proud to announce the eagerly awaited arrival of Mad Dogs season 2 on Sky 1 HD. This is now available to sponsor and will air in February 2012.

Mad Dogs 2 will see Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm and Marc Warren all reprise their roles from season 1. This season will once again comprise 4 hour-long episodes for transmission in early 2012 with all the cast optioned for a potential third series too. The story picks up where series one ended with Woody, Baxter and Rick driving away from the villa as Quinn has chosen to stay and make a new life in Majorca. In the opening scenes viewers will see Woody, Baxter and Rick have a change of heart and turn back - and from there it just gets crazier.
