Kad i kako je Google nastao?
Google je nastao 1998. godine kao studentki projekat Lerija Pejdza i Sergeja Brina na Stanfordu. [Kako je izgledala jedna od prvih naslovnih strana]
Sergej i Leri su na prvom svom pretraivacu radili od pocetka 1996 godine (Projekat BackRub), ali su na nagovor suosnivaca Yahoo-a, Dejvida Filoa odlucili da osnuju kompaniju Google inc.
Kljucni momenti u razvoju Googla?
Verovatno najvazniji dogadjaj u istoriji Googla, desio se 2000. godine kada su u dogovoru sa Yahoo zamenili Inktomi search koji je godinama dobavljao rezultate pretrage. Samim tim AOL, Netscape, Freeserve, BBC i mnogi drugi su presli na Google i krajem te godine kompanija preuzima lidersku poziciju medju web pretrazivacima sa preko 50% udela u ukupnom trzistu.

Kompanija Google pokrenula je novu uslugu koja će ljubiteljima muzike omogućiti pretraživanje baze sa imenima muzičara, tekstovima pesma i naslovima objavljenih albuma.
Radi se o usluzi Google Music koja omogućava korsniku da u polju za pretraživanje zada ključnu reč (ime grupe, muzičara, naziva albuma ili pesme), a rezultati se pojavljuju na vrhu liste zajedno sa sličicom albuma. Rezultate pretraživanja prate i hiperveze koje omogućavaju naručivanje ili preuzimanje onih aluma ili numera koji su dostupni za kupovinu. Hiperveze vode uglavnom do mrežnih muzičkih prodavnica kao što su iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic ili Amazon.com
Rezultati pretraživanja će upućivati i na dopunske Googleove stranice sa dodatnim muzičkim informacijama, kao što su npr. nazivi pesama u odabranom albumu ili informacije o drugim albumima koje je grupa, odnosno autor objavio. U rezultatima pretraživanja će se nalaziti i izvodi iz recenzija i prikaza koji su objavljeni na drugim Web lokacijama, kao i hiperveze do tih lokacija. (G.B.)
