Has anyone done a Joomla-Sharepoint integration of any sort.

Say the scenario is there is an Sharepoint intranet with resources such as documents, images and the like.  The desire would be to have Joomla be the exteranal corporate website yet have access to the resource pool within Sharepoint.

I don't know much more about Sharepoint to give any deeper an explanation.  Hopefully that is clear and someone with Sharepoint knowledge can give some insight as to how feasible that would be.

Thanks

This can be done via a host of SharePoint Web Services. There are various web services for accessing list, site data, content, etc.

Credentials would have to be passed in to authenticate against the sharepoint service unless of course it allows annoymous access to the site/web service.

For example: If you wanted to pull back a list of all files/listitems in a particular list, you can contact the web service which should be http://{hostname}/_vti_bin/lists.asmx. There is a web method on this service called GetListItems, where you pass in the list name/id as a parameter. The resulting request returns the listitems of that list, eg: documents, images and the like, in XML format. Have a read of http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/lists.lists.getlistitems.aspx and you should be able a better overview.

Of course, then you can consume this service with your joomla widget/component and transform the xml to readable html or whatever you need.
