The story is that you’re a young journalist trying to make your way up the ladder to becoming a senior reporter, solving mysteries and discovering murderers. Each level involves searching through a mysterious house in the hills where there seems to be an uncanny amount of murders. Travel through each room, search for clues and interview different suspects then write your discoveries in a little notebook to look back on later. There are 10 ‘assignments’ in total going through five levels of difficulty and the further you go, the more rooms you can explore and the more suspects are involved.

The game itself is quite simple to play but complex to get right. You have two soft-keys at the bottom of the page and three buttons above them giving you access to the map of the house, your notepad and a list of places, people and murder weapons. The aim is to ring your editor before your time runs out to accuse someone of murder and specify where and how it happened. The onscreen controls all seem to have indications to hardware keys that could be used so I’m presuming it would work on standard Windows Mobile devices as well as touch enabled devices.

Whilst the visual style of the game is very pleasing and fun, it is still quite limited as every level takes place in the same house with the same people with the same rooms. There’s an opportunity to expand the game to include more locations because it does get a little boring searching through the same items in the same rooms despite sometimes having different outcomes. Also, the inclusion of biographies, statistics and achievements are a nice touch, but there’s no online score board to compare results with others on and it doesn’t give any notifications when you get achievements.

Overall I found it to be an intriguing game to play and I absolutely love the graphics they used & the transition effects but it could be vastly improved with different locations for each level to avoid it becoming boring over time.
