U principu ne. Eventualno na rangiranje zato sto ce sajt sa .nl tnp mnogi pretrazivaci tretirati kao Holandski iako je za drugu publiku, ali to u principu nije preterano bitno.
Medjutim, realno, .com , .net , .org , eventualno .info je za "opstu upotrebu" sve ostalo se izbegava..
Veza domena sa protokom, brzinom, vudu magijom i losom srecom ne postoji

Zasto svi dolaze u Beograd i Novi Sad, a niko ni da pridje Boru i Beloj Palanci...
Originalni top level domeni su najstariji, postali su sinonim za internet, sve ovo novo tipa .name , .aero je novotarija koja se uglavnom nije primila, i nicemu ne sluzi.
