Jedan od najboljih helikoptera ikada. Mnogo mi se svidja ta koncepcija, malog brzog i solidno oklopljenog helikoptera. Jednom sam ga video u letu i iznenadio se koliko je mali u odnosu na Mi-24. Ne znam zasto ameri izmisljaju neke apace i komancije, kada je po meni ovaj savrsen.

helikopter je extra svidja mi se , neki cova u americi ga je nabavio da bi ga vozio iz zabave ali morao je da skine svo naoruzanje i da ostavi samo osnovni navigacioni sitem, al nema zabave bez oruzija

The Turkish Army selected the AH-1Z King Cobra in July 2000 with a request for 50 out of a total requirement for 145 helicopters. In May 2004, it was announced that the acquisition was to be cancelled. The helicopters were to be built in Turkey by Tusas Aerospace Industries (TAI).

Prior to Executive Committee's decision dated May 2004, Tusas Uzay ve Havacilik San. A.S. was selected as prime contractor. In order to determine foreign company, proposals from Agusta (Italy), Bell (USA), Boeing (USA), Eurocopter (France) and Kamov (Russian Federation) were received. Contract negotiations with two companies in the short list - Bell and Kamov - were executed. The last status of the project was discussed at the Executive Committee's meeting dated May 14, 2004 and it is evaluated that the proposals of subject firms do not meet the expectations related to price, delivery schedule, contracts terms and conditions for technical & administrative issues. Basing on this, current bid has been cancelled and it's decided to accept a new bid for a new project model. SSM has begun to make preparations on the new project model which aims also to meet requirements in a shorter period and to use in-country capabilities and use its best effort to publish Request for Proposal (RFP) as soon as possible

In line with the resolution of the Defense Industry Committee Meeting, held on 14 May 2004, the “Attack Helicopter Program,” which had started with the Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) in 1997, covering the procurement of 145 Attack/Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopters required by the Turkish Armed Forces, was cancelled. The Undersecretariat for Defense Industries was authorized to initiate a new tender.

The RFP, regarding the procurement of a total of 91 helicopters (30 firm,  20 additional and 20+21 optional) was issued on 10 February 2005 and the last day to submit proposals is extended to 13 September 2005 from 10 June 2005.

Proposals are expected to be received from the Italian Agusta Company for A-129 I Mangusta, the American Bell Helicopter Company for AH-1Z King Cobra, the American Boeing Company for AH-64D Longbow Apache, the French Eurocopter Company for Tiger, the Russian Company for Rosoboronexport’s KA-50-2 Erdoğan or MI-28 Havoc and the South African Denel Company for CSH-2 Rooivalk for the tender which gives a preparation time of four months to companies.


With its experience in the manufacture and delivery of both fixed and rotary wing aircraft to the Turkish Armed Forces, TAI is ready to successfully realize all the responsibilities given to the company under the ATAK program.
